Here are a few quick photos of my new to me 97 S1. Need the nut that holds the trip reset button on. Anybody have one? Need to go to a better spot to take the photos. Have a lot of red reflections from my trailer. Just got the plates for it and got to ride it down the block for is first ride. So far so good. Mike (Message edited by RKC00 on February 14, 2011) |

Very cool . . . just looking I can see 3 recalls that were done . . . and a handful of mods. Shoot a photo for me of the inside of the left rear foot peg support truss. I want to see which frame you have. I'm looking for (or the absence of) a small tab to support that vent line. Next time you see Erik . . .ask him if he's ever ridden a Billet Metallic S1?

That was one of the very few S1s that came up for sale here and I came really really close to pulling the trigger. Glad to see it go to a good home. It's definitely a keeper. Enjoy it. |

Nice bike! The knurled nut for the odo reset knob is a four digit H-D part number. Unless someone chimes in sooner, I may have the info in my old email archives and can be back with it. |

I think I found the receipt for the odo reset knob. It's a Harley part number, 7518, but is only identified as "nut". So if the parts guy looks it up and it doesn't look right, ask for what Court says here. |

Available online. I tried to order it from Latus HD but their system was a complete pain in the ass so I bailed. Any dealer here likely has it in stock or can get it in 3 days.

Michael, Shot of your S1 from the family photo album circa 1997 at Daytona (yeah check out those leathers). I met Erik there during the Lightning Series and he was going to sign it but I didn't have a sharpie Have fun and be safe!
