Ah, I misunderstood. I thought you were saying Miata VS Corvette was analogous to Harley VS sportbike. I was suggesting that Cadillac VS Corvette was more appropriate, had you been making the point I assumed you were. A while ago in a "Street Glide VS 1125R" thread, I posted that is was more fun to ride a slow bike fast, than a fast bike slow. The retort was, "Isnt it the most fun to ride a fast bike fast?" Well, yes. It is. |

Saying that Harleys are slow is kind alike saying that homosexuals are ghey. |

Us engineers like numbers, so I don't need to actually ride one. Feelings don't compete with numbers, they just make you feel good. I am so jealous that engineers can get a hardon over a spread sheet. I wish I could do that. It would save me a ton of money. Unfortunately, I have to actually participate in the actual event to experience the rush, not just examine the data. What a bummer. Saying that Harleys are slow is kind alike saying that homosexuals are ghey. Oh for Pete's sake. Not this dreck again! (Message edited by Rodrob on February 17, 2011) |

"The Destroyer? Lol. Come on now, a STREET bike, not a factory drag bike. " Hey it said "ANY factory Harley" and it is, indeed, a factory Harley. Dont be upset that I proved your theory wrong. and for "If it's got a Harley shield, it is slow in comparison to other motorcycles, even when compared in their own classes. I remember a recent comparison of the XR, the competitive bikes had a higher mph in the 1/4 mile than the top speed of the Harley! That makes the Harley slow. " Thats Ok, Buells didnt always fare well in comparisons to others in their class either, but no one on here complains of that. It just all seems a bit double standard. People hate on HD for being slow and, like you, compare it to other bikes in the class. But then the Buell didnt do outstanding in some camparison tests and everyone is cool with that. It is what it is. Its opinions, its ok to have different ones. Blake, why do you post 'ghey' instead of 'gay'? |

I resent the hijacking of the word "gay" to promote homosexuality. Apparently "faggot" and "queer" weren't good enough, so now three perfectly good words have been ruined. Once "gay" gets a bad enough connotation, they'll find another one to ruin. And don't think I'm hating. I'm absolutely not. I just don't like the disingenuous coopting of words. Yeah, they didn't choose those others, their detractors did. Still, the point is the same. Just call 'em "homosexuals", or "homos" please. If only mythology had an island like Lezbso or whatever it was, but with male homosexuals. Then we'd not have the problem. All the above except the first sentence is mostly tongue in cheek. |

I like rainbows But I'm not gay. But I'm supportive. I don't know, I just think it's weird that one group took refracted light. Pretty greedy gays. -Demetri Martin |

I test rode a 2011 Night Rod Special when it just came out and if I didn't have to choose between the wife and the bike, I would have one in Chrome Yellow parked next to my X1 in the garage. Of course I said the same thing about a red 1125CR when Buell announced the fire sale. Still blame the wife for that one to slip by... |

I late getting a Buell (as in last month) due in part to the mediocre comparisons The price / performance ratio got me onboard, and now that I'm getting to know mine, I appreciate it very much |
