It was a good ride. I left the house at 8:15 AM, and got home at 5:30 PM. The weather was nice. The only issues were the brisk winds, and the dusty roads. All the crap on the roads is left over from an ice storm we had last week. Texas likes to dump sand on everything when it ices. The other riders were all on XB's of one sort or another. They all frequent a different message board. I feel so dirty! Haha! By the way, it seemed pretty easy to hang with the XB's on my 1125R. |

Get them all out to ECR on the 27th for a track day. $120. Can't beat it with a stick. http://www.eaglescanyon.com/2008/schedule.php?even t=891&yr=2011&mon=02 |

Wish I could have made the ride. I rode about an hour and half, windy, still lot's of crap in the rode from the winter blast. Still it was better than not riding. |

Rode the CR to work today. Set a new time to home in Dallas rush hour record. Man I love flinging this thing around. |

I rode to work today and that sandy powdery crap on the side roads sure makes for some cool power slides if you plan for it,but not cool at all for stopping. Need a big rain to wash it away. |

Did you meet at Cycle Gear in Bedford, was there a guy on an 04 XB12S Red by the name of Rowdy? I got an email about the ride on Sunday, could not make it early. Although I drove by Cycle Gear in the afternoon, alot of bikes parked. |

Tell Rowdy that Jim said he's way, way, way overdue to get on the track. |

Yes, we met at Cyclegear in Bedford/Euless. We were rolling around 10:00 AM. Yup, Rowdy was on his red XB. Jdugger, it's funny how you want to get Rowdy on the track, and he wants to get you back out on the street. Your name was mentioned to me because you rode with them on your 1125 before, and I was the only one with an 1125 that day. I told him I watched you play around on the track one day. He said next time I talk to you, tell you that you need to go riding with them again. DC29, yes, the roads were too dusty in spots. These were mainly intersections. I left a stop sign at one intersection and attempted to quickly catch up to the front riders. I thought my clutch had fried, but it was actually my wheel breaking loose. My engine revved, but i didn't accelerate very quickly. It never tail wagged in the least. It stayed perfectly straight. I had no clue. It was just for a couple of seconds. We stopped for gas a few blocks up, and the rider behind me said I was nearly smoking my rear tire. Too funny. I don't mind wearing out this tire quickly. I have a new set to put on before I go to Dragon IV. |
