Just curious what the HP/tq difference is between the race ecm and stock ecm for FI tubers |

Normally you need the Race ECM maps only when you change the air/fuel delivery through an exhaust and/or intake upgrade. I don't think just switching to the Race ECM by itself buys you anything. In fact I suspect just swapping the ECM could cause the bike run too rich for the stock set up. More knowledgeable folks can correct me if I 'm wrong. |

There's a pretty big dip in the power curve with the stock exhaust/cams on the FI bikes. The race map, in conjunction with an aftermarket exhaust, removes that dip. The M2, with it's midrange cams, doesn't have this dip with the stock exhaust. The race kit doesn't make the bike make a whole lot more peak power since the stock can flowed rather well at high RPM, but it does flatten out the curve quite a bit. |

I've run both side by side. The difference is the RACE ecm reduces the dip in the torque curve. When you add the RACE header, it will ELIMINATE the dip. It doesn't make any more power, it gives you much better mid-corner drives. |

On the XB and 1125 at least, a Race ECM bypasses the EPA restrictions, which makes them more pleasant to ride. I would assume the same will be true on a tuber if they are lean from the factory. |

But you can tne any ecm to run like a race one now with ECM-Spy. |

Definitely +1 on reducing the dip in the 2500-3000 RPM range. But my bike came with an aftermarket pipe and that by itself already helped greatly with the dip. Good to know that the Race maps reduce the dip even on the stock set up. |
