Well, got my bike serviced for the 1000 km mark at the HD in Bari (190 Euros, btw). Anyway: I love this bike. It's comfy and has a fantastic tune and feeling. It's damn powerful and fast but also gentle, light and a lot of fun to ride also on long distances. Great, great bike. Thumbs up to the american muscles. |

Another 1000 km and this motor REALLY gets smooth. Have fun! |

I've got 5000 miles ('cause I is a 'MERICAN!) on my CR and yes, the motor fells nicely bedded in now. Gets nicer with miles for sure. |

It only gets better. 26k miles, I've done the valve check/shim twice now. I love this bike like none I've ever owned. Got my 25 year H.O.G. patch last month, been riding a few years. My XB9R was my first "sportbike" but far from my first fast bike. The 1125R makes the XB feel like a tractor... |

Zac- Did you need shims both checks? |

When I ride my other bike, a Suzuki V-Strom 650, the first feeling is that there's something wrong with the engine... |

Not the first time, they were tight but in-spec. At 25k, I replaced 6 of 8 to put them in the mid to loose end. Be careful, Don't drop shims in the motor Z |
