hi guys, I just made some new updates on my beloved S1. nothing major though. I mounted the front pulley cover from Rizoma... the timing cover with the Pegasus that I previously polished... I brought the speedometer down on the top triple tree (it was a little bit upturned)... and then my new Matris steering damper with custom bracket (pain in the neck to have it fit there!)... now my next step would be the new paint job (I'll do it black with red and gold accents), then I'd like to modify my swingarm and add some braces like the JMC swingarms and last but not least, a bas a$$ big bore stage 3 kit to put down 120-130HP with possibly a Baker 6 speed transmission. but it most likely will take me a couple of years to see my project finished... |

Daaang, it looks way too classy to be a sportbike... and yet it is! That pulley cover is great. I would love to have a pegasus CLUTCH cover... |

ok, the speedo is a Dakota but I lost the speedo since the forks are Ohlins now. I use it just as a tachometer. I should move the pick up in the primary now but I really don't care. the front pulley cover is a Rizoma and its pretty unfindable. I found it on eBay recently and I was surprised that nobody but me bid on this part. I got it for a fraction of what it originally cost. Rizoma offered the rear pulley as well with the same design of the front pulley cover, but that is really impossible to find right now. I've been looking for it everywhere in the world, even in Japan! there are no more around, at least known. headlight is from a V-rod Slayer, you got it right... |

Ed, The damper installation is great. You have any part numbers? |

Eric, no parts number. that is a completely custom made set up, made from scratch. I used the front motor mount and the right fork to make it work. the pictures don't make justice to that setup, it looks totally sick in person! |

the front pulley cover is a Rizoma and its pretty unfindable. I found it on eBay recently and I was surprised that nobody but me bid on this part. That part was discontinued by Rizoma some years ago (as was the rear pulley for the tube framers) so you were very lucky to find it at all |

Black will be gorgeous!!! Are you gonna put Buell logos back on? Your bikes are such works of art. I love the placement of your steering damper as it leaves the frame clean and un-cluttered (Between my catch can, steering damper and remote res my frame is a mess on the left side of the bike). |

Littlebuggles, ltbuell, thanks! I do love too the damper setup, even though believe me, also my left side of the bike is pretty messy, between the mono-shock reservoir, the frame brace and the oil cooler. that was my only option to fit a damper. don't know yet if I will be putting back the Buell logos but, if I will, they will be airbrushed though. maybe I will mix up the past (the bike) with the actuality (Erik Buell Racing logo?), that can be an original idea... |
