Hey guys been a while, I have an '06 XB12Ss that is about to go back into the shop for a chaffed wiring harness. The first time it wore through both the main wiring harness and the negative battery cable causing the ignition fuse to pop repeatedly, and it's worn through the wiring harness again. It looks as if the seat pan is forcing the two wires together. It's rather obvious that at least the negative battery terminal has been digging into the seat pan. Has anyone else seen this? Is there I fix?

Hey Josh, how ya been? I've got similar wear showing on the underside of my 07 STT seat but no noticeable wear to the wires as of yet. Definitely something I'll keep my eye on. I suppose I should check it (wiring) when I get home just to make sure. |

I dropped it off at the stealership today I guess I'm lucky it's still under service contract till July... Hopefully they will solve the problem instead of just repairing the symptoms this time. |

Hey that's good timing. I looked at mine before heading in to work tonight. I see the contact point and wear on the seat pan and the wiring harness shows a pressure point but has a ton of sheilding/wrap on it so I wonder if they beefed up the protection on it in 07. |

My 06 started rubbing in spots so I put some of that split protective plastic stuff on the loom. I also relieved some of the seat pan where it was hitting. |
