I was thinking to switch headlights between my S1 and my X1, V-rod headlight on the X1 and night-rod headlight on my S1 but I'd like to change the stock night-rod lamp with this one I posted. I think though that the night-rod lamp is 5" and 3/4, while this one is 7". someone can confirm? any idea how to make it nice? I really like it... I've been pondering it for awhile as well. I like the integrated turn signals. |

I would have to find an assembly for it. I emailed them asking if they offer one, but still no response. that Fatboy at the bottom of their page looks pretty cool, I wonder what king of assembly did they use... (Message edited by the_italian_job on February 05, 2011) |

for example, how about this: I'll buy this headlight just for the frame, then I'll change the lamp with the one I like... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/HEADLIGHT-CHROME-HO NDA-CB900-CB750-CB650-MOTOCYCLE-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQ QhashZitem2c5a724734QQitemZ190495999796QQptZMotorc yclesQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories#ht_2330wt_849 with this brackets to mount it on... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/54mm-BIKE-FORK-TUBE -HEADLIGHT-BRACKETS-BRACKET-SET-KIT-_W0QQcmdZViewI temQQhashZitem2c59f6ee32QQitemZ190487916082QQptZMo torcyclesQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories#ht_3390wt_849 they're a tad , but they look super cool, very solid! this can be an option. then I can see if I can adapt to this headlight the fender from the Triumph Truxton, which I totally love!! |

I like the brackets, any 7 inch headlight bucket should work. |

I personally would like it better if the LED's were not white... but rather amber...w |

those brackets might be plastic where they clamp to the tube. I remember a xb guy buying those and complaining that for 80 bucks it shouldnt be plastic |

Foximus, they have them with amber LED's. but I like the LED to be always on so I'd like them better white color. I might come back to a rounded headlight, probably even the stock setup but with this LED lamp I love... anybody knows where I can find the pro-series fender, the race one with no whole for the headlight? I would like to adapt that one on the headlight... |

I have this headlight on my X1. I had to make a custom headlight ring out sheet Aluminum and secure it with silicone. The stock x1 headlight bucket is bigger then 7" it's like 7 1/4 . |

Ratbuell, keep in mind TIJ doesn't have a stock headlight on any of his tubers, hence this thread . |

Well, that's true...but he could always go back to a stock bracket set if he needed to... |

no more stock headlights for me... but I would like to find a rounded alternative to the V-rod headlight, something nice, Wakan-style or like the Bu-hell from Roland Sands. the fender I'd like to use is the pro-series for tubers, the race one to use without the headlight. I could shape that and fit the headlight there. I like its wrapping shape. any idea where I can purchase that? someone must still sell it... It has the amber turn signals. Love this headlight set up. confuses oncoming traffic on what type of bike it is with this setup. I have the motodynamic integrated brake and turnsignals on the rear. My winter shit list is getting smaller by the day. TIJ If you find a better headlight bucket for this light let me know. To get this to fit in the x1 bucket it was a pain in the ass! but hey i made it work and its solid |

why was it a pain to fit in the stock bucket? |

the stock headlight has like a 1/4 inch lip around the headlight housing to fit into the bucket and is held in place by the headlight ring. This light does not have that lip. So I had to cut out a piece of sheet aluminum and make that lip. I secured the aluminum to the light with silicone waterproof adhesive. Bull Grip and put a strip around the lip of the bucket to the ring. I then put the headlight bezel on to secure it. Its solid and looks great! |

ah... not to bad though. 1/4" deep or 1/4 in thickness (radially)? |

Serialk, I posted the link for a 7" headlight with chrome bucket that is not bad in my opinion. |
