Look closely at the wheel!
I spy itty bitty spokes, and is that a star pattern....

Could that be an adaptive hid headlight?

It looks like a firebolt headlight in a newer fairing. I do recall earlier pictures with a firebolt parked next to a work area like this. I had a suspicion that they might integrate the firebolts lighting system. Just a hunch?

Why does a bike need lights?

Just a bunch of extra crap to pay for you have to rip off the bike to be able to really use it anyway.

I would say it is poor picture quality but who knows? So far, it looks good to me though. I wonder what it will cost and if I can afford it? I'm willing to say that I will not but one can only hope~

Well, it does appear that the windscreen functions as the headlight surface plastic. Isn't that staying with dual function characteristics he likes? Perhaps cheaper to replace in the event of damage than an entire headlight assembly? It also is may be a simple removal procedure for the light assembly which would give a protected space, both impact and wind noise wise, for a GoPro or other camera to capture your track memories for posterity.
