Just type in buell and it is insane to see all the bikes that are obviously being parted out and sold. It makes me wonder just how many of my bike is actually left running? Does anybody know of a god registryu for Tube frame Buells? |

Tube-framed Buells are cherished and near-cult objects in Japan and several European countries, so there is not a lot of chopping going on overseas. I guess it's economics: Buell tubers are selling for less, and have better engines, than sportsters. People (i.e., chopper builders) outside the Buell "club" don't have any appreciation whatsoever for a Buell, so they just see a ripe opportunity. The only tuber registry I know of is for S2's, based right here on Badweb, and one has (I believe) been started for S1's. Not in any way comprehensive, though. |

I think God does ride an S3T when he goes long distance, but he rides an S1 when he is feeling rude! |

A registry for steel-frame Buells might be a good idea. Among the informed, steel-frame Buells are inspiring fierce loyalty and passion. Sadly, the ignorant only see them as a cheap source of superior motors. The worst part is that there seem to be more of them than us. Do everyone a favor by introducing your uninformed motorcycling friends who ride SOB (some other brand) to the Buell experience. If they try it they might like it and we all know where that leads. I will be riding a Buell as long as I can ride a motorcycle. |

Frank Skinner started a nice S2 registry at one point and has passed it along though I don't remember who picked it up. I'll take a look. I followed suit with an S3 registry at one point but became a little overloaded with other efforts as well as frustrated with what some expected from a registry and an owner. I keep thinking I need to repost but haven't stepped up. I'll do it this weekend. I remember seeing one other, probably the S1. I very rarely venture into the M2 group but given their activity level I'd be surprised if there isn't one there. |

I don't know if they have a registry over in the M2 section or not. I wish they did. My 97 is number 40. |

Great Idea, I love my 99' S3 (In "T" optioned trim). I want an X1 or an S1W to compliment the Uly. Now that I take keyboard to forum, I think that as nice is the Uly is, I prefer the S3, and have taken more long trips on that than any other. You guys are correct, I live in Germany, and the Germans are drawn to my S3 like moths to a flame, they love Buell, and tubers most of all. I would support a tuber register. |

Here's where the S3 file was as of a year and a half ago. I'm willing to pick up the maintenance again. Send updates to S3_owners@comcast.net |

Gee. Didn't you know? We have an S3 Owners list too, just 849 matching entries though. Not sure how up to date it is. |

Nope, didn't know that option existed. I once thought about going through the complete list and PM-ing everyone that listed an S3. This option would certainly make it easier to try that. I was afraid it would be frowned upon, though. |

Now to raise enough money to have a buell museum somewhere, and the caretaker could compile and mantain our lists. |
