Teaseing about new Buells is a way of life for some. Certain individuals he who has a thread title area often teased us. Then he would claim I got in so much trouble I did it accidentally etc. Any way it add to the fun of Badweb dreaming about new bikes |

Just like I suspected, it has the slotted rotor and B2 like spoked rim |

I think that front wheel will look more like the prototype rear wheel that was quickly flashed here not so long ago. Which means that prototype is probably on the back. |

I can;t tell what rotor it is, but I like that spoked wheel, and hope that part becomes available. |

Isn't that the same front wheel that was on the Barracuda 2 shots in Cycle World? This is the best photo I can find right now but the Cycle World photos clearly showed the "spidery spoked" front wheel. The prototype Barracuda had the standard XB rear wheel. |

does anybody else think the front looks like a cyclops? looks like a projector lens too. of course its only speculation. i kind of favored the dual headlights myself. |

To me it's just a great sign to see a teaser like this. If there was nothing for us to get excited over for buells future, then we'd have nothing like this to even talk about. I'll just be happy to see a NEW BUELL. My real concern is being able to afford it when the time comes!!!!! |

That RC8R is a great bike. Now, I know a lot of this is rider, but Ty Howard last year on the RC8 ran a perfect season on the RC8. He entered 3 classes (SS-A, SB-A and F1) and ran ten races each and won all of them. He reset the track record at EVERY track the CMRA raced on last year. Just incredible, really. |

> Me want RC8. RPM Cycles in Dallas had a demo RC8R with full Akropovic race exhaust tuned for 98 race fuel for something like $25k. It was in full race trim, and sold as an RO with COO, and not street legal. Total drooler, but $25k will buy a lot of good bikes and plenty of top-end parts to go on them. |

Looks like the 1190RR crushed the RC8 everywhere it ran against it. Just sayin' |

>>>>Looks like the 1190RR crushed the RC8 everywhere it ran against it. Just sayin' Wasn't it the RC8 that got beat like by 4 minutes by an 1190RR in Europe or is my aging memory fading . . I was thinking that there was a KTM factory team that showed and ran against Harald and Pegasus Race Team. . . I don't recall but I'll bet some of the European guys remember how the RC8 and 1190RR fared head to head . . |

A lot of it is rider. A whole lot of it. I don't have any imagination Ty's track records were the RC8 and not Ty. But, he did do it on the RC8. Clearly it's a competent bike, even if not the best out there. |

Wasn't it the RC8 that got beat like by 4 minutes by an 1190RR in Europe or is my aging memory fading This movie might have played out in more than one venue. Last year, Shawn H embarrassed an RC8 at Willow Springs. That would be on an 1125R, no less. The KTM came in to the paddock on a a high fallutent KTM truck. I observed - and drew my conclusions. Those conclusions were reinforced when the KTM didn't come to play the next race weekend. |
