Got out on the bike this weekend, bloody cold, but wow what a conversion, bike feels so much better, forks seem to ride the road much smoother, brakes feel superb (even though still bedding in). And the Albert666 (APH) exhaust is truely amazing, best sounding V-twin i've heard. Went to the Oakdene cafe this morning and drew a good crowd, loads of peeps asking questions and generally very very impressed with the bike in general and especially the yokes. Ill get some proper pics when weather pics up but here's a taster.

Thanks LBQ yes it is an early 98-2001 R1 front end, I only used this set-up as it was cheap, next winter I will fit a newer radial brake mounted front, there are many bike fronts that will fit now I have the yokes, zx10, gsxr, R1, R6 etc etc |

Those triple clamps, where from? They scare me. How much weight do reckon the conventional front brakes/wheel added? The polishing looks spectacular. How do? Nice customization. I think the ZTL looks much more exotic than the conventional setup, especially from the left side. What led you to make the conversion? If you say "huge heat problems", I'm leaving. |

Blake why do the trips scare you ???? They are from a guy here in the UK who makes alot of 1 off billet parts, he is tried and tested. I just didn't like the feel of the ztl, yes it looks better, but now mine is my own The polishing is DIY, some mops etc from EBay, some wet n dry and elbow grease. |

Billet triple may be ok. Was afraid they might be cut down OEM cast parts. No idea of the weight added by conventional brakes/wheel? |

I should of weighed it but in my excitement I forgot, by lifting the 2 there doesn't seem much in it, wasn't going for the weight loss/gain though, if it does weight more I'm sure the new exhaust will offset the extra. Not that I would likely notice. |
