Has anyone used these?  http://bugeyes.com/ I am thinking about trying a set on my snowmobile helmet. They are street legal so maybe a set (or just a left one) on the street helmet too. | ||

I've got one on the left side of my moto style helmet that I use primarily for snowmobiling, sometimes for motorcycling. I like it. It took me a little bit to get used to it and find a good way to aim it. I have a Collett communicator radio on the left side too, so my rear view is obstructed a little because of that, so IMO it would be better if the arm was a little longer. I bought 2 and was thinking of putting one on each side but I'm not going to do that, the one on the left is enough. I will put the 2nd one on my backup sled helmet. | ||

Pontlee, If you'd seen what happens to 100's of motorcyclists each year that crash and get killed or maimed then you shouldn't even get on a motorcycle.... but we do. | ||

EG +1 Maybe I should change my screen name to SuperSquid. I wear 1/2 helmets in the summer if I wear one at all. The amount of protection I tend to wear is equal to the weather conditions I'm riding in. Winter = full face, etc. Summer = jeans and a light jacket and usually a 1/2 helmet, not always. I've been "down" Month in the hospital, rehab, etc. More than aware of the danger's. It's a choice we all make, how to ride, and what to wear. | ||

I just said it because the guy I know broke his jaw, and lost all the front teeth, he was lucky the police were near. I wear all year round the full face helmet + riding gear and a spine protector, some times the most stupid fall in the wrong point can make a really big injury. | ||

I had a set of these on my helmet, (Flip up type), they work great. No vibration, you can see everything behind you, take a little getting used to. They didn't fold or move at over 100mph. The downside is you constantly have to readjust them every time you ride because they are "out there". It's not that big of a deal but just so you know. You are going to look a bit "geekish", but it more than makes up for the visibility you have. |
