Author Message   Daniii Posted on Saturday, January 22, 2011 - 05:50 pm:        Took the CR into the HD dealer for a scheduled clutch weep fix. While waiting, they tell me there is a nail in the rear tire. Sure enough, looks like a small roofing nail. It's not leaking. 100 miles on new Michelin. Ordered another (their price delivered was almost as good as on line ), rode home. When the tire comes in, we'll pull out the nail and see how deep it is. If deep, I'll put on the tire. If not, I'll have a spare. On a side note, the clutch warranty kit replaces several components, and in addition, they replaced my cap which I had scratched in a parking lot dump. Later i decided that i would take my chances.. (if you wanna get rid of it i could sure use it) oh, and as long as the nail is in the center area...   Daniii Posted on Sunday, January 23, 2011 - 10:24 pm:        Oh, I'm gonna take the tire and plug it once it's off, and keep it for the next replacement. Those plugs are great. Helped me out twice so far. It is apparently a 45 min fix. I haven't seen a recall notice however.
