Rossi is an Abyssinian cat... he is very curious about the room I am sleeping in, because it is usually off limits... the first photo I took of him is funny because his eyes are closed... he is one cool cat !

We had a great ride up in the mountains despite the tire incident, made it home in one piece. However, I did not take many photos of the overlooks as I was spinning my head this way and that to look at all the cool rocks in the road cuts. The nail was discovered by one of the managers at Newcombs Ranch and looked like this...
Upon first look, it appeared to be shallow. But after getting back to De Ville de Slaughter it was discovered to have been over two inches long and a hissing noise ocurred. Time to patch the tire tomorrow. We also ran into a young guy with a CR back in town. That is one damn fine looking bike!
You can tell by his eyes he is smiling a big sh*t eating grin. A beautiful sunny day, just cool enough to ride with all the gear on. It was not even close to cold up there, despite what all the pansy ass Californians were saying. |

Edward - that is SUPPOSEDLY what I can get at the local Sears when they open this AM. Those "mushroom-headed" plugs hold up very well - especially where that wire went into the tread (fortunately NOT sidewall!) SHe'll be on the road, good to go without having to toss money at another rear... but she MIGHT just need a new one before getting to the end of this ride simply because of the thousands of MILES she's going to be seeing! |

Edward - some pics are on Facebook at Danielle Hebert and Forrest Robinson pages. Danielle's blog is a helluva read in itself: http://daniellehebert.wordpress.com Danielle on Facebook http://www.reverbnation.com/daniellehebert (includes samples - English and French) Forrest on Facebook Char is barely starting her latest adventure and this is gonna be an INTERESTING ride (and read) |

Its okay Slaughter. That is what heated gear is for. I use mine in 70 degree weather too. I figure why be chilly when I have the means to be comfortable! I can always turn it off. Char...you are remarkable! Keep the updates coming! I live for them since its 7 degrees here with snow. Carol |

Aw Carol, it is easy to do what you love and live with no fear once you make your mind up. Does Duke have a special outfit for when it gets super cold? Do you have a winter white camo hoodie for him? |

Great day riding to the Rock Inn... with Sunny and Steve... ran into a few co-workers, one of which has a pretty good case of collectionism... there were some really beautiful bikes he had in his shop! I promised not to post them all on line... but a few photos to follow... Oh, and huge thanks to Steve who got my oil changed and got my tire plugged... there are 1041 miles to this trip and so far it has all been pretty fantastic!!! |
