I don't know what it is.Sheep Skin on the lable, Dry Clean Only? It looks good to me, will see how it is after a few rides. I mite try to dye it black or red, white won't stay clean long.

I did a similar thing. Go to your local hardware and get some brass grommets put them in the corners of the sheepskin and you can use those mini bungees to hold it down. I got my black sheepskin off ebay and got enough material for a seat cover and a bed for my cat. Only problem is the neighbor's dog keeps humping my bike. |

I hate going to Ikea but looks like I'll have to make that trip since the website has no listing for that item that I could find. Friggin' rat maze that makes you have to walk 9 miles! |

They're pretty easy to find. IIRC they had boxes of the things scattered all over the store. |

That's a pretty good price for real sheepskin. I pay about $30 for a whole skin and cut them up for my bikes.

GS750T, What's that sign in the background of that first picture? And while I'm at it, where was the KLR pic taken? |

You guys must live in a much drier climate than me. If I put something like that on my bike it would become a soggy, nasty mess in no time. |

7873jake, The sign is from the Reading Motorcycle Club in Oley, PA. I am a member but the pic was a tag for PA TOR. KLR pic is from Going to the Sun Road in Glacier National park. |

Thanks for sharing them. Really liked the KLR shot. Perusing the RMC website and it seems pretty interesting. We have motorcycle clubs down here in Volusia county/Daytona area but in order to join, I think I have to kill someone, sell dope, steal something and pimp someone...but maybe not in that order. I don't look good in leather vests so I've sorta backed away from the rush to join. It doesn't look like RMC requires any of that. Lucky... (Message edited by 7873jake on January 18, 2011) |

I have not had to kill anyone, yet! There is a blacktop dragstrip at the club I raced at for years, now I'm an old fook! We cornerwork the road races during bike week and sometimes camp at the ABATE campground in Volusia County. (Message edited by gs750t on January 18, 2011) |
