Anyone interested in going riding today? Me and Bads are planning something for this afternoon (i.e. The warmest point of the day) I can personally say it is already beautiful out side 8:15 A.M., I just got back from flying my helicopter at the park and it must be in the upper 40's (note the sun just came up). Anyway anyone interested? I'll check back around 10:30-11:00 and try to get back to you ASAP |

What a bunch of babies!!!!!! If the team was on the road this weekend, I'd be there no matter what the weather. Anyone remember 2001???? It was 26 degrees when I left the house. It was maybe (thats a BIG maybe) 45 for a high that day. That's what makes the SCR so much fun. I wish I was there for the ride. See ya there in the spring. |

Yep, the weather is shaping up nicely. A little brisk in the AM but it should be real comfortable by the time we arrive. |

Thats right Dennis, If I were there I'd ride!!!! Saying that I just got in from riding all evening - had to come home as it started to rain and the rain gear was hanging on the rack in the garage (said with Newfie accent as certain individuals here get a real kick out of how I say that!!). This has been another day of driving with the top down and biking in the evening kind of day. The temp was in the low 60's and tomorrow we are supposed to get some of "Hurricane Kate" as she brushes by the island. Oh well a day in the garage cleaning it out the get ready for the car and bike this winter won't be a waste of a day. Almost forgot as I am soooooooooo proud of her, I took my 12yr old daughter, Elsa, to the motorcycle training compound (we have a totally private fenced training compound for new bike rider training) and got her riding a Honda CB125T, this is her first time on a bike with a manual clutch as all her other bikes have been semi-automatics. After she got her balance I then put her through the slow speed maunever tests and she did it all. She then spied the 2002 Buell Blast we have, sat on it and had both feet planted flat on the ground. She asked if she could ride it and I told her, "Sure, if you can start it!!!". As I am walking away I hear the damm thing start and next thing I hear the familiar "THUNK" as it goes into first and thump, thump, thump away she goes. After about 15-20 minutes of riding it around she parks it. Bloody Amazing how well she did (damm child got some great genetics - hehehe). She takes a break for a while then askes to ride again, I ask her what she wants to ride and she picked the BLAST because she told me it rides and goes around the corners much better than the Honda. We get home, start to put our gear away in the garage and she sits on the S1. I sternly told her NO WAY and she would have to wait at least 4 years before she can go near that one or at least to the point where she can safely hold it up. I think I am in trouble with this one but sooooo proud of her!!!! My apologies for invading your thread and on. |

Newfie_buel, Give your daughter a high five from all us here at the Uke's club. Yall Uke's people, ya missed out on a good days riding. Light jacket, gloves, regular jeans = very comfortably ride. We where going to stop off at the new dealership in Green Field to look for a tank bag, turns out they where having a huge open house party which was a nice little bonus on the day. Bummer though (NO BUELL MERCH.) just a few bikes. Don, I ran into your friend with the 03 replica and I was super happy to see he is so cool and open to sharing info. we talked for a hour or so. He even offered to tear down some of the motor to show me how to make some of the internal components. Anyway he told me to get his e-mail from you and visa versa so we could keep in touch Thanks again, "New Guy" |

Weather turned out decent today and I got to ride my new XB9S, which is now officially broke in at 514 miles, Wooo Hooo !!! Left at 8:00, it WAS cold, and met up at Full Moon, 6 of us riding including bmule and I, rode through IL into Wisconsin. Stopped for lunch and also in Lake Geneva to watch some go cart races, it was really cute !! Last stop at Hog's Nest and then home for a total of 160 miles for me !! CJ XB P.S. Sure wish I'd known someone who was going to SCR, but there is always next year !! |
