How can one find out which dealer has an actual Buell trained tech? I do everything I can on my R, but I'm sure I will need some assistance at some point. I don't know what to think about my local Harley/Buell dealer. I have only purchased parts there. They have never put their hands on my bike. And yes, they still have the Buell sign hanging on the building. |

Their is an 1125 class. I was signed up to go in 08 but my mom had cancer so I could not go. Then I was signed up in 09 then HD dropped Buell so my dealer cancled my class, they said why send you to something that they dont make anymore... |

my local stealership has the mech's certificates hanging on the wall. the guy that has the most buell training certificates gets to touch my bike. tho he doesnt have an 1125 cert on the wall, he's the best of the bunch. also i think having the SAME mech work on my bike EVERY time is also a very good thing. inviting him to the bar and buying him a few drinks helps too. |

My local H-D/Buell dealership, Orange County H-D/Buell had one Buell Trained tech. I was told this guy works on all Buell bikes there so I brought my '06 Firebolt XB12R in for a simple TPS reset. Guess what? The TPS reset was done incorrectly, and my bike kept on idling high. They also charged me $100 for the job (at the time, I had no idea how it was done). I had to go to Al Lighton at American Sportbike to help me rectify the situation. It took Al 5 minutes to help me do the TPS reset. I tried going back to OC HD/Buell to rectify the situation and get my money back. I was told by the Service Writer that the TPS was done correctly and I had no recourse. They claimed it was a faulty fuel pump that caused the problem. It was faulty ( I later replaced it) but it sure as hell didn't cause the TPS screw up! The Fuel Pump was just working continuously that's all (which I fixed later). I will NEVER go back to that dealership again. Nor would I shed a tear if that dealership went belly up. The guys in there are all a bunch of tattooed, Goat-Teed, wannabe Jessie James look alike. Each time I went in there the customers and the employees treated me like an illegal alien. It's really unbelievable how bad some of these so-called "H-D/Buell" dealers are! |
