My room mate dropped his bike on mine and completely screwed up the front fender. So, I am in need of a 2000 x1 blue front fender. Let me know what you want for it... PM doesnt seem to work for me so just post here. |

I have a blue one off of 98 m2. If you find out if it will fit let me know and we can work out a fair deal for both of us. |

M2 only fits M2. It has "normal" forks. All the other tubers have inverted forks. If you can find one for S1, S2, S3, or X1, it'll fit. |

are the s1s and x1s fenders the same or are they just swappable? As far as I can tell this one is the same shape as mine, but - at least in the picture - it looks to be a completely different blue than mine. Can anyone tell me if the s1s used the same blue as the x1s? thanks all |

Physically they should be the same. Paint...may very well be different. I have an armload of old brochures, I'll reference color names, but my guess is, they're different blues. |

Check the dealer, supposedly there are still fenders available via vendor order, 4-6 weeks |

All tuber front fenders for upside-down forks are interchangeable. A carbon fiber fender isn't much more than an OEM item, so that's an option. There's always fiberglass...but that comes unpainted and they need some light finishing work. |

Thanks, I'll check the dealer, but most likely keep an eye out on the forums for a used one. I've heard bad things about the ebay cf undertrays. Has anyone heard anything about the ebay cf fenders? |

I have one. They are OK: Small, cheap looking weave pattern. I got mine from craigslist used. I wouldn't recommend spending the money for an e-bay one. Chris C |

I have one of the American Sport Bike ones. It makes the carbon Ducati puts on their production bikes and sell as aftermarket parts look like overweight junk. I also have some AirTech stuff (my tailsection and a race tail), and it is good, tough, hand laid glass. |

Cool. that sounds like a descent route, but I can't help but think that one piece of cf would look a little out of place on my alltogether not cf bike, and I don't think I am prepared to take the plunge for an entirely cf bike. $_$ Oh well. I appreciate the input, and if anyone happens to come across a blue one in their forum exploits please send it my way (for a price that is.) |

It turns out that the factory wants 220 bucks for a front fender! I don't know if I am allowed to do this on this site - so correct me if I cant - but if I make a mold to make some carbon fiber fenders would anyone else be interested? (carbon fiber, kevlar, or fiberglass - black, yellow, ivory, and white respectively.) I am just looking to make up initial costs. Just trying to get a rough count so I can decide if its worth it or not. |
