The Erik Buell Racing one just plugs the hole - no way to mount a license plate and signals. |

I have the Evotech one - it's fantastic quality:

I wasn't all that impressed with most of the kits on the market... for the price! I made my own with a sheet of aluminum from the hobby shop, and some basic hand tools. |

I'm considering this one... http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-p rodshow/16211.html http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/media/ ccp0/prodlg/16211-BK.jpg How the hell do you post an image in here? |

I thought about the Evotech since I believe the quality is top-notch; but I went with the Jardine and I've been happy with it. Fits nicely, looks great. I did add a couple of hidden customizations since I didn't like the idea of it being held on with one bolt. I've since removed the passenger peg H/W, looking pretty clean! Mike |

so i never noticed or payed attention but i realized the stock tail has a light on it and i also noticed in some of the other forums people talking about illuminating the plates. Does the evotech or jardine come with a light to illuminate the plate to stay legal?? |

The Evotech looks like it does (the little nub in this picture: http://www.trojan-horse.co.uk/prods/images/282_3.j pg) and the one I posted lets you bolt on the stock license plate illuminator. |

ok so did some more digging, i think i might go with evotech due to the built in led illuminator, opinions? |

I may be a bit biased as I have that one on mine and think it's great but the plate light is easy enough to source elsewhere if you choose another brand - i.e. don't let that be the sole reason for choosing Evotech.. |

You can modify the stock tail light lens/cover to function as well. |

If you cut out the area under the taillight, there is a clear window in the lens that illuminates the plate. I did that, got an integrated kit from XBLights and made my own tidy.

Did mine similar to Zacks... the built in light (once you trim it out with a dremel) keeps things tidy and you don't have to do any wiring. |

I haven't bothered with a tail tidy because the tail doesn't bother me to the tune of that much $$...but damn, that Evotech IS schweet! Anyone know what the exchange makes the price for us Yanks? |

I have left mine stock too, from the size and look of most other bikes, the 1125 tail is not all that bad in my opinion...All of my other bikes have all had their tails removed past and present. |

Same here Buellmojo. This is the first bike I haven't ripped off the tail. I did remove everything below the plate though. I actually like the side view with the extension of the tail. |

My tail tidy piece was made by fellow Badwebber 1324 (Nick Stolten). I think he was contemplating making them. Not sure, maybe he will chime in.

Thanks for the reminder guys. I've been pretty busy with other non-Buell things. After a while, I figured 1125-interest would die off. Maybe I miscalculated? |

Agree with the Evotech. I installed one last year. Got the 2010 tail light for my birthday, just have to get it installed. |
