So far I'm loosely planning on going, not sure of a route yet, probably just buzz westward on 60 or 33 and see where I end up. In or around February there is usually a smaller swap meet at the Waukesha fairgrounds, and in January I think there is an annual one up near GreenBay or Appleton or at the FondDuLac fairgrounds. Pick up one of the freebie flyers at Hal's from the rack in the lounge, there should be some event listings in there. And blingbling????? And here I thought you were going for the basic black theme. Bomber, Now I'm cornfused, is it FIBs or FBI'ers? Perhaps it varies depending on the place and participants, eh? |

it's FIB when a local is asking my directions from point A to point B in WIsconsin, by den. it's FBI when I am prepared to embarrass myself due to the velocity at which my bike does not travel under my guidance. ya know? |

I have to ask if WI residents have any similar acronyms to the FIB/FBI nomenclature? Cheeshead just doesn't carry the same level of connotations. And is it Wisconsinites or Wisconsinonians or something else? For some reason that episode from the old Taxi tv series popped into my head where the debate is raging about Delawarians vs Delawarites. I forget who won. |

http://www.jsonline.com/news/state/sep03/173693.asp Just call us the cow herding cheese heads with corn growing out our ears. I was voting the the canoe motif, history over economics, adventure over milking a cow. Oh well, could be worse, somehow, but it's just a quarter. Maybe I'll paint any I get green and put little Packers decals on them.

I prefered the indian & canoe one myself. The cow & cheese one is a joke. |

No Kidding...Especially since the feminist movement had the State take the Cow off our license plates. Had something to do with a negative reference to the States Female population. Hey, don't flame me. I didn't make it up. I got it from an active feminist!!! |

Slimey Crud Run Report... Just returned from this fall's Slimey Crud Run and wish to report that is was a huge success. In comparison to last fall, attendance was up and the weather was perfect. Translation: The selection of old, new and antique bikes was phenomenal, the folks were as friendly as can be and it was quite warm with little to no wind. Bikes were from MI, IN, IL, IA, MN and WI. There were about 20 Buells there but the only folks I recognized were Chuck from Brew City/Buell Factory and Shane the King of BattleTrax. Additionally, the roads were perfect. I assume the recent rains washed away the gravel that was in the turns last year. Only a few cow pies and road kill and that was in the straights. Only radar I saw was in Lodi on the way home and I think he was asleep at the gun as I cruised by at 40 in a 25. Ain't life grand... If you were there I know you had a great time. If you weren't...there is always next year. I just hope you didn't miss the event because some folks were crying "Chicken Little" about the weather. |
