so, last september i bought the data cable to plug into my ecm to try and correct a hesitation issue ive had with the bike since new. this is what i found...  i had every intention of trying to solve this over the winter, however, my brother passed away and a bunch of us intend to ride to the services... my email is barryhildreth@yahoo.com.. if anyone can read a good ecm for me so i have a better starting point that would be great... if it matters, my bike has the bue2d242 firmware with the 255 calibration... thanks in advance | ||

An issue we ran into back when the 1125R first came out - ECM Spy doesn't work. You can read the program in the ECM but the memory addresses are different so maps look all wrong. Several work-arounds came and went. Currently the authors of ECM Spy have a new product that works, finally. I, and a lot of others have opted for the Erik Buell Racing optimized ECM and find it "sufficient".  Zack | ||

Take it to your dealer, tell them it's running crappy and have them flash it with the latest factory map. That will fix some of it. To really get it to run right, get the Erik Buell Racing race ecm and put it on your bike. | ||

you need tunerpro rt v5, bue2d xdf, bue2d adx, read write plug in. Thats what you need to DIY it. plus a new version of tunerpro rt V5 was released 12/25/10 so everyone can update. The files are at ecmspy.com and xoptiinside.com both are free to get and free to use. I even have some free excel sheets to look at data side by side to show differences between old and new as well as between the two. It's all free stuff to download and use... |
