I have removed the forks with the intent of changing out the seals as they show a very slight weep. There is a hex head at the bottom of the fork tube that I am struggling with to remove. The sucker will not budge. I don't believe that the oil has been changed before 14K, so its prolly my technique. Any suggestions? Since I almost there with the steering head bearings I'm planning to address them. Am I going to have any issues with the dust caps? I do have a manual. |

When removing the lower bolt on forks, it's best to use an air impact wrench. |

Yes use an impact gun with an allen bit. Make sure the bit is fully seated and the gun is going in the correct direction. It will come right off. |
