It didn't rain! I went for a canyon ride with a friend on his tricked out 2005 zx10r. His bike was faster. Mine was quicker. We traded bikes. His bike held the line with less effort, but took more effort to turn in. My bike was better in the tighter stuff. Both bikes were hilariously fun and since the roads were empty, we got to test some limits (there was still sand and water runoff, so we pussyfooted through some areas I usually rail.. ) We rode till it was too dark and we wished we had adaptive headlights... then we went and ate a huge meal. Yep, another good day in America.

Rain only for today. NO rain for the weekend. Unfortunately, the only good riding will be out in the desert but at least there are still twisties to get to them. All the mountain passes will be snowed in! |

Still plenty of ice, snow, and salt covered roads here, no riding for me. The weather where I live is so unpredictable, it is real hard to ride during the Winter months. Plus I try to keep the road salt off of my bikes...From what I have experienced, most motorcycle components and fasteners do not get along well with salt. |

It just POURED again here. Full on deluge. If I wanted it like this, I'd live in Seattle or VietNam... ugh. Gotta go buy a new rear tire with 4" deep sipes! |

We have our lovely Texas winter weather--cold rain. Maybe I can mount some pontoons...in reality the weekend is looking excellent. |

Danny: Tailbag: It's great - I just wish it was expandable because I always seem to have one more f'ing thing that won't fit in it. http://axioluggage.com/tailbag_carbon.html Here's a clearer pic
Other stuff on there: Superloud horn from twistedthrottle. Radar detector, darkhorse sliders, barkbusters |

Will the axo hold a pair of shoes? I am looking to replace my old tailbag that blew off and almost wrapped around the wheel of my 1125r. I always wear an oakley backpack that is huge. My big thing is room for a pair of shoes and visor for my helmet. I am looking at a saddleman deal. But the axo is a nice looking unit. |
