I think I would be having a conversation with all your information with a lawyer. Just to see what, if anything, they can do. It shouldn't cost you anything to get a decent opinion based on REAL facts. I have the luxury of having many lawyers as friends in our investment club. They give me opinions on 'situations' over beers and don't charge me a lot when it goes beyond that. |

http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/21/ 608020.html?1292345463 So Jersey, did you take the bike in with the Cat Comp race fairing on? If you did you gave them no choice but to label your bike as a race bike. Al |

Oh yeah and a call to your state insurance commissioner or whoever regulates that kind of thing in the Garden State will be good too. Basically, if things get legal the burden of proof is on the VSC company, not you. |

Jersey I haven't followed everything. It's a bit cryptic. A friend had a issue that was well out of warranty and H-D here stepped in and provided all the parts. I haven't understood if you have asked them to look at it. It seems that if you locked up on the track or locked up on the way to the track would have different implications for Kosko, but if I locked up at a mere 130mph I'd expect a new motor. |

Hi Jersey I understood that, and I sympathise. What I was saying was that 130 just isn't that fast for an 1125R. Even if they are saying you were doing 130mph, so what. That is 50mph below the rev limit. I used to go to the shops at 120 on my 750. Slowest part was the helmet and gloves Has H-D said no to anything. They are being particularly nice here at the moment, |

I feel the injustice. I bought a second hand Jota 120 in Holland that had a bent steering head. I string lined it in front of the assesors and the shop said that it had a bow swingarm like a Suzuki Hypersport. It took a year to prove that the guy was a skunk. If you can put it behind you, the better for you. The fight with Jota just made me sick. |

sorry...but I read and didnt think I found out. What happened to lock up the motor the first time. and the second time? Was it perhaps the sprocket nut for the Crank on the the Clutch side? |

It broke a follower and sucked a valve. The intake cam may have been out of time. The intake valves had been hitting both pistons. (I saw pictures of the carnage). |

Not a lot of damage overall. It took out a valve guide as well as the mentioned valve and follower.

Great pictures! Had an Audi with a valve that shape years ago but that was down to a timing belt failing. |

I'm no expert but it looks like something is wrong with that valve. It also looks like there is some metal stuff in the motor you might want to clean out before starting it. :P (Message edited by RatsMC on December 27, 2010) |
