so if the firebolts have a helmet lock on them i clearly have not found it. its something that i really wish i had! i've been toying with the idea of buying a helmet lock off ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MOTORCYCLE-CRUSIER- HELMET-LOCK-CHROME-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem3f0 3284fc9QQitemZ270635913161QQptZApparelQ5fMerchandi se http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Universal-Motorcycl e-Helmet-Lock-Two-Keys-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZite m3cb0fb99beQQitemZ260667316670QQptZMotorcyclesQ5fP artsQ5fAccessories or something along those lines, and somehow putting it on my bike, have any of you guys tried something like this? |

There are at cheaper ways to lock your helmet on your bike. Mine is just a tab I located under the rear seat on my bolt. $3 later and I'm good. |

yeah, throw some bolts/bracket in the subframe under the passenger seat, and roll out |

I drilled and tapped the subframe for a 10-32 bolt and jam-nut. Just pop the pass. cover, hook the d-ring, cover back on, and gone! I'll get a pic for ya tomorrow. |

Lol, nope! However, you can purchase them, have them rekeyed to your ignition key, and install one on your Firebolt just as I did on my Lightning |

Theres no sub-frame rail that is exposed on a Firebolt. |

It doesn't bolt into any subframe on a Uly either. mount it through any plastic piece and use a piece of steel as a backer and you're good to go. |

I like that. I could always use a second lock for something like a backpack I may be carrying. |

Yeah it's not cheap (about $50 for the lock, plus re-keying and any extra hardware), but I really like that it looks factory and uses the ignition key. I took it off the bike when I re-did it for my wife (it's all purdy now, and she didn't need it). I plan to install an extra on the Uly tho- on the right side. |
