I called a shop a few months ago about some 2009 1125Rs in their inventory when they where running an internet special. They basically blew me off, and I never heard back from them. Fast forward to 1 month ago, they leave me a massage asking if I was still interested, which I ignored. Then yesterday they call again and want to know if I'm still interested because the manager wants them out of the inventory. I say sure, and he says he'll email me a quote. Amazing how things change in 4 months, once you have a couple of feet of snow on the ground and have new 2 year old bikes sitting there not selling. Anyway, I curious to what kind of deals you guys got on your 1125Rs. I'm trying to decide what to counter his offer with. I had someone tell me at the MotoGP they got one for 6500, and another say they got a CR for 6900 out the door. |

you could pick them up all day long for 5000 right after the buell shut down. if you did it right it was 5000 out the door including tax title and license. many paid more in the 6-7 range |

p.s. remember, they are calling YOU, they want it gone. say what you'll give them out the door and stick with it. if they dont like your price, tell them thanks and goodbye. |

$5495 out the door 10-17-2009, Long Horn HD in Dallas, TX. A friend and I picked up 7 of them and brought them back to southern Missouri. 3 CR's and 4 R's, was a fun trip to say the least. |

CR, $6400 otd, HD N Dallas. List was $4999 for a CR, $5999 for and R. Me and a friend got in on the deal. Mine the day it was offered, back in October, my friend a few months later. We both used credit cards. |

I'd throw $5K at them and see what happens. I paid $9K OTD for my '08R - BUT - that was the spring before the 'announcement'. Had I waited another 6 months, I could have knocked another 2-4K off that, but would have missed out on a season. After I made the offer, they told me "no way" and "you're killing me here"... A day later, the Owner called and said he could live with it... Go for what you feel is a good price, then go lower than that...you never know. Cash flow is better than no cash flow. (Oh- and PM me if you get the killer sweet deal - I may need another 1125 to feed my affliction) JM |

I paid a little over $7k OTD october 2009 for an 09cr. Also, if you do get it, make sure that the battery is in good shape, if it has been sitting for that long with out being charged, the battery could be shot. Also, if there is gas in it, then i would drain it before i started it. Good luck, the ball is in your court. |

Even though you hear about the sub $6k bikes, that is going to be hard to hit these days. The bike prices are stable and have not moved much unless someone is hard up for cash and is blowing out his bike. |

The prices are rising, and rightly so, it's a great bike and a steal at these low prices, in the next few years, will still be selling at the 6k mark. I paid £3850 for mine here in the UK with 3000 miles on the clock. Just out of curiosity I took it to a Suzuki dealer and asked how much they would offer me on a used gsxr 1000 2008, told them my bike had been crashed hard at a track (they did some of the repairs) Was shocked when they came back with £4500 |

Avalaugh - You are going to not like this::: http://www.ksl.com/index.php?nid=218&ad=13341496&c at=144&lpid=1&search=GSXR http://www.ksl.com/index.php?nid=218&ad=13002119&c at=144&lpid=1&search=GSXR http://www.ksl.com/index.php?nid=218&ad=11031437&c at=144&lpid=2&search=GSXR (I'm trying to find a Ninja 250 for my son to start riding at the track - deals are not as easy to come by as you would think). |

What's not to like ? The American Market is different to here, was just saying I was offered much more than I paid for my bike, has over 9000 miles now and no warrenty, still worth more than what i paid a over a year ago. Things like 250 ninjas and 400cc bikes always hold money well, good luck find a bargin though, they are out there. |

Av - no slight intended, just showing what they are going for around here - and those are asking prices, so probably 25% less. You want me to pick up that mill for you for $120 ?? JM |

I'm told that Harley gave dealers a $5K incentive to get them out the door. I have heard of lots of folks tell of getting them for $5K, but I have never met anyone who actually did. Of course, that doesn't mean anything. I have also met some folks who have seen flying saucers and Sasquatch too, but that doesn't mean anything either. I do know someone who got one for $6500, but that was not the out-the-door price. I would figure around $6000 might be a good place to start negotiations. Good luck! |

The lower you go the better for you. Looks to me they want to get rid of it. Show some interest low ball them and see what happens. Don't like what they offer back - walk away and leave the your number and tell them you will think about it. They usually call back. Its up to you and how much you want the bike. |

Well if any of you are interested, the price they told me was basically $8200 + 6% sales tax. It was from Grand Rapids HD in Michigan. They said they had 3 black Rs left, one had stage 1 and exhaust upgrades. They may have others, buell.com shows they have 9 Rs and 1 CR. I'm on the fence, I really want one, but I'm trying to get out of debt and don't want to finance the bike, plus I already have an X1W and may have to find a new truck soon. |

I bought mine from GR HD 2009 1125r Black 1/29/2010 for $7300 OTD NO plate it was winter. At the time I was offerd one of the last 2 1125cr's from ann arbor they wanted them out of inventory for 6500 otd . But i really wanted a R so i negotiated hard actully drug the sales manger out to follow me on a test ride 6pm in 30 degree weather. Was easier to negtiate i flat out knew what i could get a cr for and Mc Henery had them to in il. They try and tack extra$$ for fairings, fender, elimnator and exhaust. I would buy one stock if you do get one the ones with Exhaust's get started Alot. Not to mention the service manger admited the jardine stage 1 tuner made no power on the dyno. Get a good exhauste and Erik Buell Racing ECm at the same time when your ready for an upgrade |

Ahhhh...GR harley. Yep, it seems they have not lowered the prices much. I looked at GR harley first and they would not budge on prices. I was able to talk them down to $7500 with tax, title, etc. I bought mine from Uke's in Kenosha. Care to drive another 30 minutes to Muskegon? You can buy my black CR for $6300 that has 2400 miles on it and a bunch of upgrades, manuals, cover, etc. |

Just offered him 5k and was pretty much told no, no counter offer. I've seen them locally used for about 5k, I just figured it was a place to start. I'd rather have a new if the prices are similar. |

I'd rather have a new if the prices are similar. That's the thing...are there any new ones left under $7k? I doubt it. Not for some time. You can't compare today to last year. People who didn't jump on the fire sale will either buy used (at a good price) or pay lots more to a stealership. |

I say shop the used market. I found an 08 for $4,900 on Craiglist. That ad disappeared in two days. With the money saved you can do a few good mods, update injectors if needed, etc. |

i was lucky enough to get one of the last ones at mchenry this summer that still had the $5000 off. paid $5995 plus tax and stuff. i would say $6500 would be a good offer to make them. worth every penny |
