I do a lot of riding from the east metro into western WI. I have quite a series of great roads that I have found by just making an effort all summer to try to hit a new spot every time I go somewhere. I could combine a few of these into a good 250-300 mile ride with some neat little resturants in small towns that nobody has ever heard of. I am going to do some more searching to see if I can find something even better. I will wait till spring to set a date. Ive been thinking about this for a while. How cool would be if a few others put a ride together as well, in a different areas of coarse. I would love to see what other areas have to offer as well. I thought if I planned it early enough in advance maybe I could get a good turnout at my ride and hopefully get a few others to get the wheels turning on a ride of their own. | ||

Your ride sounds good. Unfortunately, I haven't made the time to do much exploring for good roads around me. I did go out a few weeks ago with a buddy around Afton, but Western WI probably has more to choose from. | ||

If you guys are up for a little dirt and pavement on the Uly, I say come on up spring 2011 and we'll have a hoot.. Hwy-1 to Ely, backroads of Dirt towards Grand Marais ect ect. | ||
