Soooo winter has struck, so i figured it was a good time to fix up the ol' Blast. she had some issues with first gear.. didnt like going into it unless she was really hot or really cold. so i pulled the engine and split the case, found some burs on the shifter barrel, but no other obvious problems that would cause the terrible noise that i would get when trying to put it in first. now the engine is back in the bike, fired it up last night, and i only have one gear and no neutral... could my problem possibly be anything other than splitting the case again and seeing if i screwed up the gears? is it possible to adjust the shift pawl so badly that everything stops working? ever have one of those days? Thanks in advance |

Well, it appears I assembled the tranny in the incorrect order... Whoopsie daisy! Note to self: Self! Read the manual better next time!! |

Ok, well it was a displaced shim on the mainshaft that was keeping everything from working properly... Problem solved!! |
