Macy and I had a 180 mile ride last Saturday. There was still ice in the corners when we started out, but it warmed up to 40 by the time we made it to the beach. Lots of gravel in the corners so it was a sedate ride, but still fun. Had to jump my bike off of Macy's to get started. Found you can use a BA screw driver to make contact and save having to take anything apart to get to the positive terminal. My first good ride in the Aerostitch Macy bought me for my birthday, and she had a chance to try out her new Shoei helmet I got her for her birthday. Fun day.

I guess that's quick board humor... Every day we ride is Old School now. Macy is really settling into her new s3 and we are looking forward to a long ride next summer. The trip we took last summer with her on my old '99 s3 was cut short due to her dad having problems, but we still racked up a couple thousand miles. If she could do that on my old s3, she could run cross country and back on her new '02, no problem. A few years ago she did a 4000 mile ride on my old '94 Sportster. It is nice to have a live-in riding partner. |
