Panel dimming, fan sounds strong then weak
Horn weak sometimes, bike runs weak, eating batteries up!! Can someone give me advice
I'm at wits end!!!

The easiest thing to do would be to get the service manual and go through the current and voltage output diagnostics.

1. Fully charge battery.
2. Check current draw with bike off(2mA) and on(35A).
3. Check stator resistance.
4. Check stator output. Run the engine at 2000 RPM. The AC output should
be 32-40 volts AC. (approximately 16-20 volts per
1000 RPM).

Stator connector is behind the sprocket cover.

Alternator Does Not Charge
1. Regulator-rectifier module not functioning.
2. Rectifier not grounded.
3. Engine ground wire loose or broken.
4. Loose or broken wires in charging circuit.
5. Stator not functioning.
6. Rotor not functioning.

Alternator Charge Rate Is Below Normal
1. Regulator-rectifier module not functioning.
2. Stator not functioning.
3. Rotor not functioning.
4. Weak battery.
5. Loose connections.

First thing I'd check is the 77 connector, it is #4 on the picture above. It is common issue on the 03-07 bikes to have poor contact, it would cause arcing and as result melts the connector.
