I am upgrading to the revision B cover on my '08 1125R. How do I remove the emblem from the old cover and apply it to the new without damage or the emblem falling off the new cover? |

Do you mean the emblem or the puck itself as you've probably noticed the pucks are completely different from Rev A to B, Rev A is smaller and made of plastic, Rev B is larger and made of ali. Out of interest why do you want to move the emblem to the Rev B cover, the puck should come with one on it.. Oh, unless you're planning on putting it on upside down to hide the weeping for a bit longer... |

Actually i just remembered replacement pucks don't come with the emblem on them do they, they're another $5 or so. I'd suggest a hot air gun, a feeler gauge and some patience to get the old one off... Then a hot glue gun to re-attach.. |

Don't try - the emblems are different sizes, RevA and RevB The puck is held on by an o-ring to the cover. The emblem will release in boiling water, just like the mirror glass. I had my old Scuffed-up RevA cover hanging on the wall, but sent to a racer that wanted to use it since it was still functional. Z |

i think he's talking about the 1125R emblem that is on the cover itself not the puck. my rev b cover doesn't have one and i really wished it did |

You can also use tooth floss. Add a small dab of copper/High temp heat silcone and your good to go for the install on the new cover. |

Awesome idea with the tooth floss! Yes, I am talking about the arched emblem at the top of the cover. I bought a revision B clutch cover kit. It came with everything except that emblem. It came with the new larger puck, and a new emblem to apply to the bigger puck. I just need to remove the old arched shape emblem from the old cover, and apply it to the new. I also picked up new seals for the clutch slave cylinder and piston in case I damage them during the process. I have already installed the revised clutch seals and new piston and cylinder. If I can change this out with out damaging the seals, I'll have a full set on the shelf as spares. The local dealer was really helpful, and the parts came in much quicker than I expected after reading comments here. The parts manager really took his time to help me get exactly what I needed. He acted surprised that I was doing the work myself. |

The dental floss did the trick! It did not hurt the paint or metal decal in any way. Thanks for the idea! |
