Anyone have the touch up part number for the frame paint on a 09 r. My swingarm is a little scratched by the spools and I would like to touch it up. Thanx |

Dunno the part number, but it's called Villain Black, same as the wheels... |

Sorry, just realized the link within that link has A LOT of pictures. Frame painting pictures start at #42. Just a reminder, that is aerosol paint, if you want liquid touch up paint you're on your own to find that number. |

Is this paint resistant to gasoline and how would you rate the wear resistance . Is it just as good as stock? (Message edited by Curve_carver on December 06, 2010) |

As far as chemicals go I am not sure. Fortunately I have not had to test that yet, or had it tested for me. As far as wear resistance goes, you can tell it's a very high quality product just by spraying a test panel. It's the way it sprays so nicely, the toughness of the finish, and the fact that it can probably kill you very quickly. You need very adequate ventilation. I ride with fieldsheer textile pants and I use my legs and core to support my upper body to reduce back pain, so far the finish still looks like I just painted it. I thought for sure the rough texture of the pants would put a wear mark on the frame, especially where the knee pads are. I only had a couple months of riding it painted though, it's sleeping in the garage for the winter right now. I am extremely impressed with the paint, well worth the money I spent on it. You won't be disappointed with it, and since it's a really cool color you can paint other stuff with it too! Good luck! Beugs |

How much did you use or how many cans were required for your fix. How far will one can go? |

I didn't use much. I put it on in light coats and blended to match. I'd say I didn't use more than 2 ounces of the 12 ounce can. |
