This is how we say "thanks" for arrogance, in Australia. Red's 2 for 2 in spreading the word, and it's a VERY small country population-wise. This one's from Rapid magazine:
And this one's from AMCN magzine:

I agree with the author of the second piece, in that he is stupid for not sitting on the thing before he bought it. He has no room to complain about the ergonomics. |

I can't read the top one but the second one is clear and large enough to read. All I can say is "FU@K YOU" Mr. Red Nichols!!! The Busa is a dream to ride???? Ok, take it on a twisty road and race it against the 1125R and see how well it does. In a straight line yeah, the Busa is faster but on a mountain side, see-ya Busa. I like the Busa too but lets be real about it. The R has its flaws but all in all, its a great bike. Try adjusting your suspension if you want your feet to be closer to the ground. |

Always sit on a bike before you buy. I have seen tons of bikes I wanted, but after sitting on them, and riding them, I decided they were not for me. He should have sat on the bike. |

OMG, that's it ... I knew there was something wrong with my '09R - It has no fuel gauge! And the Viper has no cup holders. Conspiracy ... Mike |

OMG! How long is Red going to tell that story? Didn't we listen to that same old refrain for over a year? I had almost forgotten about him. I'll just have to try harder. |

You'd think two different people wrote those articles. I thought I was bad about my own motorcycles, but that is insane. |

OMG, anyone who prefers a Busa to a 1125 just doesn't get it. It's like choosing a 60's muscle car over a Lotus. Duh! |

Kinda funny, I bought my CR then sold my Busa, I put over 77,000 miles on it, great bike. But like I said, bought the CR, sold the Busa. |

The first article is written like "look at my awesome custom bike", and the second is closer to "let me tell you about this piece of $#%@ in my garage". What a wild case of bi-polar! I am surprised anyone would publish the second thing. If you read it and have ever ridden a motorcycle before, you instantly know that it is idiocy. (Message edited by ponti1 on December 02, 2010) |

I liked the "I made a custom leather seat that lowered the rider 3 inches" part. I honestly cannot figure out _how_ he did that with a 2" thick seat, it's even less than that at the back part, maybe only an inch thick there. Not too sure about the validity of the 4" intake stacks either, but I haven't done any testing in that area, so I'll let that one go. |

So Red gained 12bhp by a simple modification of the stock muffler? Yeah right on Red.......... As for lowering the seat by 3" by removing the 2" thick standard seat and putting a 1" thick leather seat on...I think your maths are a bit skewed somehow. As for not being able to reach the ground because the bike is too tall for you, I'm afraid that is a genetic problem not an engineering one |

He's obviously adding a couple of inches to get that 5'10" figure too. I'm 5'9"-5'11" (depending on which gas station I'm leaving ) and I have no problem with the height of my CR. I'm pretty sure I'm flat footed or nearly flat footed on it. |

if you want a sad story, search the archives. Maintaining a lingering and enduring anger can't be healthy. Those traits likely carry into other areas of his life. Can obsessive compulsives who won't let go of their pain have healthy relationships? |

I kinda miss him. He was such an unabashed troll that it was just amusing. He was so G**Damned superior that he couldn't wrap his head around the concept that any other opinions might exist with any value. Or how when his proclaimations were met with less than adoration how that could be... Nah, I retract that first sentence of this post. Good riddance. R |

He must me riding barefoot if he really is 5'10" and can't flat foot the bike. I'm 5'11" and can easily flat foot my bike. |

5'9" and can flat foot was this guy banned or something? I dont know of many bike with fuel gauges sure, the 1125R with the same rider as a busa will be faster in the twisties. But make no mistake that they are super slow in the corners with a decent rider. any way of enlarging the first page? I cant read it at all. to blame Erik for being shut down - silly the seat height - thats on him for not testing the heat issue - get a new ecm map from dealer....for free |

Red is a tool. Paranoid Schizophrenic if I was a Psychologist, but I'm a mechanic. Lots of potential. But more like a flat Pirelli, or Stella. Stay gone Red |

I, too, am 5'10 and can flat foot both feet on my CR. There isn't 3" worth of seat to remove, let alone still having a seat on the bike, so not sure how he managed that. All bikes are hot. All high performance bikes run sh!t lean from the factory. The muffler was designed the way it was for reasons beyond his comprehension. I don't miss him at all. Vamp and Chili can keep him, lol. |

If he wants a bike with a fuel gauge tell him to buy a V Rod. It will give him something else to moan about - the one on mine has a mind of its own - reads all over the place ! |
