Is it possible to mount the factory 1125R upper triple on a CR? Not really worried about cable length as I have all the cables from my clubman bars and I think they should work. I havent really taken apart the CR so I am not sure what the cluster is mounted to, etc. Any info would be appreciated. And in case you are wondering I do still have my clubmans I just dont like the look of them. I think since I have my XB as a comfy corner carver I want to trick out the CR for a little more show along with the go. |

i dont see why not, the only thing is that youll have an empty hole for the ignition unless you re-locate it to the hole..then you could but a uly 12 volt plug to fill in the hole.. id suggest this though: http://www.EBRacing.com/shop/product162.html interesting idea though i think itd look great! i do like that one better, i just didnt want to get to crazy and that would make it more difficult to get the end result i am looking for, it would be a nicer looking end result, just more work. |

cherry bomb: that was one of my concerns and i havent dug into yet but i think the IC has its own mount and shouldnt interfere with me putting clip ons on.... but i am not 100% on that. |

just take the bar off and put some clip ons on the fork or buy a second cr-upper triple tree and cut off the the bar clamps... something like that... the easy way... |

The cables are the same on the CR (clubmans) and R, so that won't be an issue. Your biggest issue will be the instrument cluster mount, which is part of the handlebar clamp. The R top tree bolts right on. |

I think you would be better of just buying some clip ons |

If you went with a R top clamp you'd have to drill and tap some holes to hold the Instrument cluster mount which is integrated into the bar clamp on the CR (Erik loves multi-tasking parts) I'm not sure if there would be a clearance issue if you did that since it would lower the cluster down in the fairing. I agree that just mounting clip-ons would be the easiest option. Are the Clubmans not low enough for you? My only complaint with the clubmans is that they didn't have much down angle. The clubmans I mounted on my XB had a nice downward angle and I've really gotten used to that. I'm planning on having my CR clubmans modified to have a bit more down angle. Just got to find a good aluminum welder that can do the job right. If I can't do that I might be looking into clip-on's too. So post some picture and how-to with whatever you do. |

the cr with clubmans basically puts the grips in the same location as the r top triple. i have both, sit them side by side and they are almost exactly the same. so the only thing youd be gaining is a different triple tree. not really a more aggressive seating position(if thats what your after) |
