I dont have a X1, but I have a S3 I can tell you from my experience that the drag bars really limit my turning on it. They give me hardly no turning at all. Its ok on this bike, as its drag only, but for a streetbike there is no way I'd do it. Mine are flat with a little pull back on the ends, nothing crazy, maybe an inch total |

I ran the Crossroads/Buell bars on my S1W for a while. I put it back to stock, and prefer it much more this way. If I want to do a pushup, I have the CR with clubmans LOL They're 7/8", standard stuff. Measure your bars width, rise, and pullback. Figure out where you want your hands to be, and adjust the measurements. Go to your nearest metric shop and see what's closest. You should be able to find something for about $50. |

My $17 solution: Dirtbike bars with the cross-brace cut off. I rotated them forward a bit to allow for tight turning/gas tank clearance. They are wider and lower than the stockers. |

Oh, I liked the bars...but the bike definitely feels more natural to me now with the stock bars back on. Depending on what happens...might end up modding the M2L for some more aggressive riding.... |

I like the flipping the bars upside down idea Natex. my bikes my only mode of transportation so i'm very willing to experiment to get a feel i like when i bought the bike it had some renthals on it with a similar bend to there street bike bend and it feels awkward because i'm between not leaning forward enough and not sitting up enough. i have no idea how stock bars feel. If any one has a pair the are willing to sell i may be interested here shortly if my next experiment doesn't work out thanks for all the input |

For me, the front just never felt planted with the stock bars. I never trusted the front wheel to stick. I swapped over to a set of Suberbike bars but those still didn't give me the feel I wanted. Once I went to the Crossroads bars, it all just clicked. The weight distribution is spot on and now the M2 feels like it's on rails. It's amazing how much of a difference the right set of bars can make. I'm not overly tall (6'), but I have really long arms. As a result the stock bars push me way back. The weight distribution gets all screwed up and the bike doesn't handle the way it should. The same thing happened on my Uly. I swapped out the stock bars for Protaper Carmichael bends and all was right with the world. |

4traxx: ya I can but based on every thing it sounds like stock bars are higher then what i have and i really want to get more forward. If i find something I like, (my friend has a pair of bars he's guna let me try next weekend) if i decide to make the switch i can prolly just sell you them for cheap. FT: I'm 5'10" and 140 lbs so I'm kinda a little guy but i have a long reach as well. based on what i understand those to options are a little pricey. even though i do like the look of crossraods I'm looking for the cheapest solution as i am funding my college eduction with scholarships and money is tight! |

Slayer, I will send you the Superbike bars I have if you want them. New they're $20. Free cheap enough? They were lower than stock but not as low as Crossroads. |

4traxx, they were VERY close to the Manta tank. If you had the small tank, they would be perfect. |
