So I bought something on ebay recently that had a muffler from an XB12R that I really didn't need. I was planning to simply ebay it again to recoup what cash value was there. I didn't really pay much attention to the photos of the muffler. Anyway the box came, and I unloaded everything except the muffler, and left it on the basement floor buried in a pile of packing peanuts without ever looking at it. Today I was cleaning up down stairs and found a surprise. The muffler has a front exhaust outlet. It's also been shortened at the back, looks like the section where the original outlet was got cut out and removed. Anyone seen this done before? I may have to try this out before I get rid of it. Thoughts?

I saw a guide a while back (I think on another forum) how to make that pipe, I believe it is a Voodoo pipe. |

You have really cool basement elves! They worked hard to modify the muffler while you weren't looking! |

Found a pic of a Voodoo and it looks nothing like mine. BTW the outlet on mine is on the right side near the front. Looks like it should clear the chin spoiler though. |

OK, this one looks similar, at least in concept... I would guess that mine is a home done knock off of that type of design. Looks like fairly nice amateur work, but certainly not professional work. OK, Voodoo knock off it is. You have really cool basement elves! They worked hard to modify the muffler while you weren't looking! I just wish they would put my tools back where they belong! |

I can tell you that the one you have is not a voodoo. see the little adjuster on the loop. thats a trick we put into every Voodoo a few were made with the stock endcap put back on though. I have one here currently. plus thats not mine or Jims welding on the exhaust port. nope nope nope It may be made from our dimensions as it was put to public info at one time till that site ended. I can get a pic of a real Voodoo if you need it. Front exit pipes do use a slight different mapping to run best. (odd looking mapping) |

I'm not sure if I'm going to even try it. Biking season is screeching to a halt for the winter here, so even if I do it will not be for a while. |

Is this a voodoo pipe? The owner says it is, but I do not see the adjuster in the loop that Xoptimizedrsx describes.

yep thats a voodoo... only a few were made like that one for track use and testing. cause its mine. having a clean out of piled up extras to cover Christmas cost. I'm not selling the voodoo Xbrr or My Gb exhaust on the shelf. I am running the XbRR Voodoo and drummer on the bikes now. so two spares is plenty. I also have a Force system to list and a few other parts. I would know. lol |
