Dyna, Easy for you to say. Living in Cheeseland. If you want to live in Chicago then you gotta pony up. Even for a $hithole you'll still be sunk for over $300,000 and you'll have to deal with maggots breaking into you garage and tippin the bike. No thanks, I'll take a nice neighborhood. Sorry dude I agree with ya keeping up with the jones' isn't my cup of tea either. But then that's just to get a plot of land. Its my job really, I got a knack for something that I prolly can't find to do in WI or the burbs. Somebody's gotta do it or we may all end up in a world of $hit. Job says I gotta live in the city proper. And as I said, somebody's gotta do it. Where were you Sep 11th? I was in the Chicago Police Depts HQ "War Room" patchin maps together for the boys in the field and making sure they got the goods on the "celebrations" in the parts of town where people were actually partying for Osama. |

I think this is a case of someone just deciding that riding isn't a priority . . . no big deal, specially if the individual is willing to make the choice, as Kev obviously is . . . . the good news is, it's one more car driver who knows and undestands bikes, and likely won't be turning left in front of us ;-} Dyna -- yeah buddy! made a contribution to the Wisconsin General Fund on Saturday . . . . all I can tell ya is, watch out fro Racine County Mounties . . . . . B'Trax was more expensive than a track day (LOL) |

Hey- We have a celebrity in our midst! I saw Frank (frankusm2) on CLTV's "Your Money" show on Saturday. Remember to ask for his autograph at the next meeting. -Brad |

Racine has been nailing folks pretty heavy for about a year now. They will usually have 3-4 squads along with 1 state patrol unit on I-94. |

Brad, Glad you enjoyed the show. It was fun and maybe it will help someone from getting a Darwin Award. |

Frank- I can't believe that you would actually find someone storing gasoline right next to a water heater! Seems like basic common sense, but I bet that you have even better stories than that. Chibueller- Have you looked into places like Elmwood Park, etc? All of those really western sections of the city are pretty affordable (relatively speaking) and the neighborhoods are filled with cops and CFD. Some friends just bought a huge house on W. Waveland for around $255k. Still steep, but $250 less than you are talking. -Brad edited by awgrimm on September 23, 2003 |

Oh God my only request besides a decent hood is to be as far away from cops as possible. I work with these people 8 hours a day. I need a 16 hour break every 24 hours. |

Haha! Well, that was more directed to your "decent neighborhood" comment than to any potential friends you may make. Good luck- Brad |

Does anybody have or know where to find the details on the Crud Run for this weekend? |

Starts in Pine Bluff just west of Madison, ends in Leland just northwest of Sauk city. Starts sometime after dawn and ends when everyone goes home. People hang out in Pine Bluff until between 9-noon. The bar on the corner is usually open for bathrooms and coffee and soda. The bar in Leland usually has venison sandwiches until they run out of them, usually before 1pm. Beyond that it is generally a do your own thing type of thing. Go, Ride, Relax, Talk, Look at bikes, Look at people, See how many police cars you can find, Ride some more, Lather rinse repeat as required. The details may be wrong, but this is how I remember them. YMMV. And remember, they don't call it Slimey Crud for nothin'.
