Radman... It's none of my business, I would be tempted but I am about 6 states too far north... but if the description of parts needed are mostly from the right side of the bike, and it is a salvage title, you might want to show the right side of the bike if you want to generate much serious interest. Your description of what it needs sounds totally inconsistent with the "salvage title" status.

Bill, I agree with you on that one as well. I'm interested in getting an XB, and the price is certainly good. I just wonder what damage is done to deem it a 'salvage title'. When I was in a wreck, I tried to have the insurance company total it, but they wouldn't go for it. $3500 in damage, definitely not pegs and signals. |

But if he shows you the crunched side you won't be suckered as eager to buy sight unseen. My guess is the frame is dinged good. Totaled bike but not much else wrong. |

This bike has been trouble free of the gremlins that have plagued Buells in the past. The only issues I have ever had with this bike are a stator and a primary crankshaft seal. At that time I replaced the battery anyway. It is ready to run and run has been a daily ride until my S2T was purchased and “Passion” stole my heart (and Soul). This bike is an 8.5 rating. It has been very well cared for and has been a great ride but I don’t ride her anymore. Great bike for someone wanting a Buell but not wanting to pay big $’s or wanting a perimeter frame Buell. Stripe’r is a one of a kind that will stand out in any crowd. I hate it but $6,000.00 OBO will make this Hooligan yours. Call me at 812-760-5015 or e-mail me at striperx3@yahoo.com if you want more info or picts (sorry I can't post picts from work). Ooops forgot my profile shows me and Stripe’r in Colorado, look there for a pict. Neil S. edited by ccryder on September 26, 2003 |

nallin 88" 98 S3. Thought I'd stick my toe in the water and see what turns up. Bike makes 125 hp and 100 ft. tq. It was built to ride any where and that I have done. Trouble free I might add. I want to move on to another bike. XB12. I'm getting bore with this one. So on to the next project. Would consider a partial trade. Looking for $11,500 for this. I may just keep it if I don't like the offers or if there is no interest. This is a very well kept bike. Dave at Waterloo knows the bike and me. The bike has been rebuilt, short of a paint job. It's extremely reliable. I have ridden with the St. Louis guys and they know the bike. It was tuned in part by Aaron Wilson and Brian Nallin. Nothin cheep about this. Please serious only need apply. |
