KCBILL, Hey drop me an e-mail about that header pipe idea you had!!! I think mine is going to be toast!!! Who ever welded it the very first time got it way to hot and basically kinda tempered the stainless around the collector area, thus making it impossible to re-weld a patch or anything. I thinking of ordering a new header?? Any Ideas---I'm very open at this time, kinda of thinking of cutting the collector off and custom fitting a 2 in to 2 cooler box design, then to a collector before going to the Borla. |

Digger, you met Dennis at the BBQ place and Neil was on the yellow S2. Hey it was great riding with every one. And I just want to say a BIG thanks to Bob on the riding pointers. What a Blast. I was concerned with so many people riding and at a brisk pace I might add, had no accidents. The bumped mirror doesn't count Neil. Good save. Bob missed a turn and Neil didn't notice quick enough. Neil was in some gravel and just about got me. How big was that dish Neil? I still say I had the best room in the house. . Truly a good trip. |

Lady and Gentlemen...It was wonderful renewing old friendships and making a few new ones this past weekend...John and I want to thank all of you for including us in your activity...Each and every time I'm in AR I am more impressed with the riding...The only thing it lacks is the elevation of the Smokies or even more so, the Rockies, but the roads and scenes are wonderful...As "Big Pussy" said, we rode over 500 miles on the way home yesterday...We dropped down 21 to 16 and 21 just keeps getting better the farther south you go...16 east was just gorgeous and the traffic was nil...Everyone was in church...On 16 somewhere between 27 and 65 we got in a little more motorcycle cattle driving practice...Helped drive a herd down the road being moved from a north pasture to the southern one...Ol' boy asked us if it was the first time we'd drivin' cattle on our motos and we both had to say "no"...Seems we had some experience with this on Hwy A west of Bunker MO last spring...We're gettin' to be old hands...At Clinton I made a bone headed maneuver of pulling out too close in front of an oncoming car as I was making a right turn and had a rear view mirror full of him...Still don't know how the hell I missed seeing that little red car...Must have been somewhere else at the time...Not on the cycle...Not good!...From Clinton we picked up 9 and ran it and then 5 up to 56...The ride along the White River was spectacular and Calico Rock is, in John's words "wierd"...Hafta, kinda agree...It felt like a ghost town...With ghosts...No shortage of rocks for the buildings though...And there must be something in the water that's getting 15 year old's knocked up down south...First Cassie at Iron Horse, then a little gal at an ice cream stop in Calico Rock and later (and much wetter) our dinner waitress in Ellington MO...Hell, she was so preggy she had already popped an outie...Tipped 'em all a bit extra for their upcoming diaper requirements...We stopped at some friends farm on 56 near Franklin AR, who were not home, and left a note saying hi...We ran up 289 between Ash Flat and Mammoth Spring where we ran into the our first LEO, a statie, going the other...We see this sign for Cherokee Village, pop 4,000 something and don't see a living soul...Another weird one...Turns out when I look back at the map we were on the extreme west edge of Cherokee Vil...The rain hit us right after we turned north off of 56 and was with us until the dinner stop in Ellington...Stupid me didn't figure out it was coming in from the south or we would have kept peddling north into MO on 19...No, I turn us back east on 142 to hook up with 21 just 'cause be need the rain riding practice...We "discussed" this at dinner...Should have figured it out because we had made a wrong turn onto 167 at Ash Flat and headed south where we promptly ran into rain...When we turned tail and headed back north, it quit...You'da thought?...Oh well...I had a neardeath experience on 21 losing the front end on, who knows what...Ended up in the oncoming lane with no one oncoming, thank god...And then John tells me he almost banged it on FF five miles from his house...Tripping through Arcadia we rode up on the back of a local LEO and he pulls onto the shoulder and back in behind us...I just hate that so we signal and pull off into a gas station and let him figure out what he's going to do about it...Nothing, of course...Never, ever let them provide you an escort...We were tired but happy puppies...Left astounded locals all along the way marveling at these two idiots riding in the rain and enjoying it...One 'ol boy in Ellington suggested as how he'd hafta have a roof and a heater...From what I saw his pick 'em up probably didn't have the latter...Only one bambie the entire ride...Down in southern MO somewhere...She saw my lights but it was John's musical pipe that turned her back...Exit, stage right...We spoke tonight on the phone and are already trying to figure out when we can get back to AR... You guys are to be congratulated for having such a good time and getting everyone back in one piece...The new guys don't know it yet, but that's harder to do than you think...Some kind of group psych thingy seems to sometimes happen on these kinda gatherings usually with bad results...Frank, you and Bill especially, did a great job with the newbies...I don't know if you meant to, but you did... Neil...Sorry, again, about that rather abrupt stop after Push Mtn...My only excuse is that was only the second time I'd ridden that cut off...Great job of saving it, first in gravel and then on grass...Grass is kinda slick, isn't it?...And, by the way, John is seeing yellow S2's as he falls to sleep now...Someday he'll probably pull the trigger on one and I can't say that I'd blame him...Yours is really nice... Until next time, Bob |

Bill, Your right, typed the wrong name, the little boss was rushing me to get out of here yesterday so we could go pick out wedding invitations! UUGGGHHH!! I thought that the man job during planning a wedding was "Yes dear, whatever you think" or " whatever you want, I know you will do a great job, dear" guess I am wrong again. Lets try that again. Dennis, No problem on the beer! Great to finally meet the guy that I have been giving so much shit. Hope the move in went well. Sorry you couldn't join us, maybe next year. There we go! Keith |

WOW... I thought no one wanted to help me move... I guess you REALLY did go to Arkansas!!! Nice photos!!! Sometime this week I will post photos of my move... I know you all can't wait... There was this one time I had this BIG box... and I was walking too fast around the corner of the gravel driveway... MAN... I almost lost in in the gravel too... I know how Neill must have felt. You guys missed sooooooo much fun by running off to Arkansas. |

Though I did not go on the trip... I thought I would add some words of wisdom related to what I have read about the ride... and have learned but never found such colorful wording to express it. As a kneedragger so aptly put it, "Shit happens, and more shit happens when you're learning, and shit happens a lot faster on a high performance bike." That says it all!!! |
