Sad to hear that Indian closed its doors. I thought they were doing well but apparently a financing deal they had in the works fell through. Too bad. Anyone out there have a deposit on a Fischer MR1000? May be time to stop payment on that check. |

So sad. Competition has forced HD to get better. We the consumers are the winners when companies have to work to win us over. Prof |

Pick up the latest Motor Cyclist mag. and there is a artical on Fischer Motor Comany. They now have a running prototype and are testing. It's using the same 60 degree V-twin thats in the Aprilia Mille, which is Rotax powered and they will not say what the final engine choice will be yet, according to this artical.MotorCyclist also say's they will be testing the prototype watch future mags.Well it kinda sounds like they may be a reality after all. |

Schaumberg...Hmmm...High rent and wage district. Then again what in the Chicago area isn't? Makes East Troy sound like an economic mecca for scooter manufacturers. |

High rent? you betcha High Wage? not for as couple of years since High-Tech got run outa town on a rail . . . . .biggest money maker there these days is the Mall (a.k.a., the Walled City, from which no Man emerges unscathed!) . . .. . . no way in heck, though, that a start up scooter company would stay there . . .. . (IMHO) . . . . much cheaper digs as litte as 15 mikes west |

Just read the article that Bads1 referenced concerning the Fisher. In as much as I agree with the niche they decided to pursue in the market, if they are intending to only manufacture one model, I don't believe many of us are in their target market. The bikes they are positioned to compete with are wonderful and I would love to ride one occasionally, but the ergo's would kill me in the long run. The picture of the prototype confirmed that for me in a nanosecond!

Whoops...Not to mention, isn't that a power plant similar to the one Colin Edwards did the flame out and bail off on the very next page? Geez, I don't even think Buell has created one like that yet. Regular "Texas BBQ" there! LOL |

Don't believe it is a big number and should be an instant sell out. If for no other reason, than collectors value. |

Nevco, It's a different engine, the MotoGP engine is a three cyl Cosworth F1 technology based engine. The twin in pure Rotax/RSV Mille. Dana, I think it's 100 Bikes for homologation. What gripes me about this company is this statement: The Fischer M Chassis brings the best technology home to America Sure, the best technology... as if Buell's chassis doen't allready kick ass and take names. Like you can even design a great chassis without solidifying engine envelope, CG, and performance requirements. I don't know how they expect to compete on the Superbike level and better than Aprillia and the Mille. It wouldn't suprise me if they soon try a GSXR1000 Suzuki engine, sort of like an American Bimota. James |
