Has anybody used Philips Crystal Vision bulbs for their bike? Just wondering how they look if anybody has pics. I know HID are the brightest but I don't know if I want the ballasts and extra wiring. | ||

The reflectors still suck, but the lamps are better than stock. See the update on my headlights thread that should rise to the top in the next post. | ||

Thanks everybody. I think I'm leaning towards HIDs, probably 5000k. Migs which kit did you buy? I heard good things about DDM and I run VVME in my car. | ||

Philips +50% are good. Good increase in brightness and beam. Good bulb life for a high performance bulb. Coated bulbs are hotter and sacrifice light output for whiteness (degrees K) Philips + 80% put out a bit more light in some areas than the +50% but not enough to be worth the extra expense and shorter bulb life. Osram make good bulbs as well. These two are the tech leaders. HIDs aren't optimised for Halogen reflectors. While you think of them as cooler they are longer and the heat can cloud plastic lenses. |
