I need help from you repair type. My s2 runs ok but lately I noticed its not idling right, keeps dying at stop lights. replaced plugs. Looking in the service book didn't know if I need to ajust the idle higher or not. Wanted help for the masters first. |

Rebuild the carb and I would also replace the manifold seals while you have the carb off. |

If it sits alot it probably needs intake seals and/or a good cleaning of carb to make sure jets are clean. |

What did the plugs look like when you pulled them. The color and type of deposit on the plugs will tell you if the engine was running rich, lean, getting oil in it (fouling), etc. Is the air filter clean, or could it be dirty and clogging, starving the engine of air? You need a good supply of air and fuel, and, as mentioned above, a good, cleaned up carb and intake for them to flow properly. |

IMHO, QUICK FIT ... Replace the intake seals which are good for two years(4 yrs. with a fan) as HEAT is what kills them(although some have had them last much longer) ... While you have the CARB. off remove the float bowel and check for junk ... Replace the OEM factory "CRAP" screws with allen screws(get'm at your local MOM&POP HardWare) ... Run STP GAS ADDITIVE, 1.75 oz. per gallon every 5K miles for a happy CARB.(also lubes the valve guides which makes for a smoooooother running engine !!!!) ... |
