roadrunr, when are you going to leave for thrills in the hills? even though my wifes birthday is the 29th i am planning to at least go for a day or two. still need to repack the vance @ hines can and pull some maintenance. let me know. thanks | ||

well, after getting out of the doghouse for saying the wifes birthday was the 29th instead of the 28th!, she said a trip to the hills sounded good. she and the daughter will drive up with the gear and do whatever while i ride. how can you beat that? then i get out into the garage and put the bike on the lift and notice a dent in the oil filter even though i already put a dent in it to keep that from happening. start looking around and found the front isolator is torn about half way around! so that's why it seemed to be vibrating differently. also the fact that all four bolts holding the oil tank in needed about three full turns to get tight could have helped. still need to repack the can and will see if i can get a isolator tomorrow. do the repairs, work about 80 hours this week so i can take off for two days and i'm all set. are you going to get up there by 9 o'clock or 11 to make the ride? the wife said camping was ok for her so i need to call about that. going to bed now. | ||

Phillip, We are going to truck our bikes out this year. The ride home last year after all the riding we did at thrills was not very comfortable. Plus it's a dry county and we need BEER (more than can be put on a buell) I think our plan was to get to Leakey early enough to meet the group from Austin somewhere in the middle. | ||

well, it's about 2 in the am and i just got the m-2 back together! did'nt want to test fire it this late so i guess i,ll jump on it and ride later this morning. will most likely go straight to leakey and set up the tent. see you there. my bike is yellow so say hey when you see me. later! | ||

leakey was a blast!! might take a week for my sphincter to relax. hootowl and roadrunr do set a pace. enjoyed seeing you guys. will have to make next years ride for sure. | ||
