Does anyone have any pictures of a complete race exhaust installed on an S2? I would like to see all the brackets used, and the safety cable also... Thanks! |

Bart, It's a "well known fact" that the Race Exhaust won't fit on an S2. Therefore you should immediately box yours up and send to me for proper disposal... Jay |

Bart, mine doesn't count. I have a modified V&H instead of the race muffler. |

Only early Race-Can had trouble breaking apart in front at intake of race-can latter safe-Race-Can had three weld dimples at front of intake on 2 1/2" nipple of newer R$%ace-Can. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/384 2/10419.html?1173484073 |

HA! Fat chance! nice try Jay! Butch, I have found copies of that PDF file, showing the cable. I'm curious, there is no front hanger mount? I didn't get ANY mounting hardware with this brand new in box race exhaust I've bought from one of the badweb sponsers. So I'm a little worried about getting it right. I will have to fabricate some rear brackets, and I'd like to fabricate something to mount the front to, also. Thanks for the pictures, but I can't zoom in enough for my feeble eyes to see the mounts. ( I'm hating this getting old crap) I will have to look closer at the can and see if it has the three dimple welds on the front... Thanks everyone! |

Butch, thanks for the links! I see how Aaomy fabricated a front bracket on his S2, that looks like something I can do also. THAT is just what I was looking for. Again, Thanks!!! |

im using s1w header and supertrapp IDS (newest one after last round of issues) muffler, its about as close as i can find, performance wise, to a race setup for the S2. works well. ill try to get pics at some point. maybe next warm day... hahahahaha |

I ran a Buell race muffler (2.5") on the stock S2 header (2", rear facing outlet) for quite some time. An extra clamp and an automotive 2"ID to 2.5"OD adapter, and it fit perfectly. The only reason I pulled it was so I could scavenge the muffler for the M2L, which I just bought an NOS race header for. I don't like it as much sound-wise, but the S2 is back to its old-school external-disc Supertrapp... |
