Totally stock the carb is fully supported by the airbox an the stock boot will last a long time. I've had SuperBoots that have lasted for 10,000 miles before needing a replacement boot for them. |

My bike is a 2004. Until this year it had only 162 miles on it. I have put 2500 this summer. I noticed that the bike now takes a few extra revolutions before it starts, and I am wondering if it might be a boot causing that. |

It's a good possibility its the boot if its the original an was never changed. |

Concur. Unfortunately in the cold weather states the boot doesnt seem to last as long and years should be factored in as well as mileage. If I were going to, I'd change the stock boot every 10,000 miles, stock air cleaner or not. |

Is the rubber in the Super Boot an actual OEM item, or is it heavier? |
