Thought about her a lot today... The a-hole that bought her better be treating her right. Though she's probably a track only bike now (I wrecked her in the spring). Put a lot of work and money into her, it's a sad, sad, thing... Don't know what it is, but I've got a Super Duke 990 now, and I've got some rearset adjusters still on my kitchen table, been there for over a week. With the Buell I would have been out in the garage the day they came putting them on?? Don't know what me deal is? In memory of my Buell I've got my old CRG bar end mirror and front cat-eye signals in the SD, so that helps. Miss my XB...damn good bike!!! |

I don't miss mine as much as I thought I would, even though it was a very long love affair, at least by modern standards. My 2005 Ducati 999S is really just a better bike all around, or so it seems to me. And well it should be, as it cost just about twice as much as the Buell when both were new. Truth to tell, I had a more invested in "Lil' Blackie" by the time I sold it, because the Ducati didn't really need very much in the way of upgrades, and I made over fifty mods to my Buell, some of them, like the chain conversion swing arm and the Ohlins suspension, were rather expensive. I just spooned on a pair of Michelin Pilot Pure tires on the Duck and riding the bike now is just divine! Nothing like falling in love with a new beauty to ease the pain of losing the old one, is there?

Don't miss mine at all. The CBR just does everything better for me. I can ride it longer and quite frankly its been nice not caring as much and not worrying as well. |

My first Buell (2005 XB9SX) was very special to me and I regret getting rid of it, more so than I ever imagined I could have. I see now how much I enjoyed that bike and will likely be the best bike I ever own. |

Don't get me wrong I love my SD..., and I'm glad I have it over the XB... Just sucks on how it all went down. That XB was my first bike, my first baby, just hard not to have her anymore. Ian, Dana: Next spring we have to get out together. |

I say a weekend up north at River Forest Campground, just north of the Menomonee Reservation, and ON Hwy 55! Shotgun Eddies is right there too. Rafting party? |

I parted with my XB12s last month and now need a replacement before Spring. It was a great bike. I will miss her but it was time. A duck you say? possibly a Hypermotard s, but hell it has less power than the Lightning. Maybe a BMW S1000rr, I could get into Pirate Racing. Hell I don't know. I am lost and disappointed to see Buell fold with no real American sport bike. Any suggestions? All who wander are not lost, really. |

A Tard is my next move. Maybe a XR650R with 17in. hoops and big brakes. I was also thinking about a DR650 with a big bore kit (725). Then there's always the XR400. Like a 20in. bicycle with a honker motor. I'm keepin my Buell, but mmmmmmmmm What a riot those motards are. |

If I was to have another bike. It would be a new Max. But the 954 I'm enjoying.

Raptor: That sounds like a deal. Sweet, Clean looking 9er!!! Love the CF filter cover and the pipe. You can test run the Duke too. Ian, rafting party...I've been up to Apple River before. BLAST! Nothing like seeing tities being flash all down the river. Bring plenty of beads! I'd also love a motard, but a Honda CRF450R has to come first. |

Boney, that KTM sure is pretty though. If it makes you feel better the parts I bought from you have a good home. Let me know if you want to sell those signals. If you ever make to VA there is an XB you can ride here as well. |
