The Right side of the X1's had the airbox and the left side had a big scoop kinda plastic to match the airbox. | ||

All Buells had plastic fuel tanks until XB series of bike which had the fuel in the aluminum frame,same with the 1125 series of bikes, so Mcdusa1 you are SOL on getting a metal tank for ANY Buell tuber series bikes, though I guess you could pay someone to fabricate some sort of metal tank for your S3,but,frankly why go to that trouble when the pastic alloy tanks work just fine and are lighter than any metal tank you can get or make at least if you want the same fuel quantity.... | ||

If I remember correctly, there was a race only aluminum tank out there for a very short period of time. It will be pretty much impossible to get. | ||
