Dwayne, I has been my understanding that the only two advantages for the force intake on an X1 are appearance and cooler air entering the intake. I hear there are definate advantages for the other models (m2, S3, etc.) but no real advantages for the X1. Somewhere on this board it states that there is no real HP advantage to the force on an X1. But ask Frank, he would know better than most of us. I agree with Sam, The Buell race kit really really adds to the midrange hp and torque. Plus when you finally blow the packing out of the race can it sounds just AWESOME! Also, talk to Sam about the front exhaust bracket. I am sure you've allready dealt with this part. He has a setup that eliminates this piece coming loose. And you don't have to use a welder as I did. Sam, Now your starting to scare me! LOL I hear that your wingman Jason is in for the trip to Arkansas this weekend! Should I bring you two's other hunting partner along for the weekend??? Na, I better leave him home, you two might steal him and duck season starts next month. Keith

Brian: You and your girl met me on North Oak awhile back I think. I ride the X1W with blue pipes, I am the old geezer that lectured you guys about wearing safety gear. I live over by KMart on Barry Rd. Be safe and catch up with us around town. These are great guys, had a ton of fun on the ride Sunday. I was riding drag behind the pack, cool visual of a group of Buells leanin through the turns in front of me. |

Hey guys, I posted the info about this coming weekend up in several different areas of this board. Maybe we can get a few other to join us. Sam, We are definately getting out of Q-town between 4 and 4:15. That should put us in your parts between 7:30 and 8. I'll drop you a line today in regards to where you want to meet upon our arrival. Anybody else want to get out and play on thursday night?? Dennis, come on out and have a beer with us. We'll celebrate your closing on your house. I am sure that some of the guys will feel guilty about not being able to help you move this weekend and get ya a beer or two! Do we know an approximate number of those headed to Ark??? It appears that Bob and John from STL. are in and that Dave is trying to make arraignments. Keith

Beer... did someone say beer?????? Digger... I'd like to meet you... you seem totally insane... and people like us have to stick together. I guess that is why I relate so well with Sam. Due to my profession... I have to behave... which ruins some of the fun. People actually expect me to be a good example to the community... god... I have disappointed sooooo many people!!! My bosses over the past 25+ years have tried to show me the error of my ways... I guess I am a slow learner!!! I have to give the front of being a responsible adult... which sucks! I also have to be careful to not do anything they can take job action on, which is much more than you may imagine. I am not thinking they will be smiling when some local police department calls my boss... and describes "conduct unbecoming" yada... yada... yada... I have my very own chair in my bosses office from the frequent visits. My entry usually into his office usually starts... "Boss this is bullshit... I never did a thing... by the way... what is this about???" I am rambling!!! it must be my advanced years... an old fart ya know!! OK... Thursday night... when and where??? |

Dennis, Sounds great, look forward to meeting you. Its not me thats insane, crazy shit just happens when I get around the likes of Sam and Jason. I am firmly placing the blame on them!!! AND yes DENNIS, I said BEER!! Your first one is on me. Who knows, I might need some help from someone in your position someday, especially when associating with the characters around her! Hey all, I just spoke to Racerboy. He and V2WIN are definately in for this weekend. They just don't know what thier arrival time will be due to John's work schedule. They are definately going to meet us at the Iron Horse for breakfast on Sat. morning. Bob says the breakfast at the Iron horse is excellent! He also had an idea of where to catch lunch/dinner that is on our route. can't remember the name of the place but he says it is very good. Sounds to me like this might turn into One of Bob's famous "pork chop runs!" Should be a great time. I am really looking forward to getting out of here tommorrow! I'll try to make good time to KC so you guys don't have to wait on me too long! (probably another one of those thing I shouldn't have said in front of Dennis!) Keith |

OK who all is going to be at The Other Place tonight?!? Richie, I still have the rest of your money. Frank I still owe you a dinner. And I HAVE TO GET INFO REGARDING THIS WEEKEND! HAVE TO! If it is raining I will drive my truck out there. No one responded to my questions regarding the trip earlier. I need to know when to take off work to meet and ride down with you guys or atleast one group of you. I also have to get with Frank to see about taking my tent and stuff in his truck. |

Ok update. Sounds like Frank is riding down now and Sam is taking a trailer down. Sam Would you possibly have room to be able to take my tent, folding chair, and cooler? If you do can I meet up with you say Thursday night to deliver that stuff to you? Obviously I won't be able to pack it on the bike and I live in independence so I will need to be able to drive my gear out to you in the truck. Sounds like the latest Frank has heard was that everyone was leaving Friday at 2:00pm from Central. And he would be following down after he gets off work. |

Derek, I wouldn't worry about getting it there. I am traveling in a truck to KC. I can throw your stuff in the back and at least get it down there. I am sure Sam will probably be able to squeeze it in his van for the ride back. either way, I don't think it will be a problem. Sam told me that you guys were leaving central at 2. Heather and I are departing Friday morning and should be a few hours ahead of everyone. Our purpose for leaving so early is so that she can familiarize herself with the Branson area. She has to get her shopping in while we ride all day Sat. Which is fine by me, means a more enjoyable ride! Keith |

Sam are you SURE I won't be cramping your style at lunch time today? I can make other arangements! Doing it this way just saves me some hassle but I don't want to create any hassle for you. Let me know! Other wise I will give you a call right as I am leaving. |
