I won't count the guy that rode in with the Harleys the next day because I don't think he came specifically for BTF...but with Ray + friend that did come for it, that puts us at... 71 |

WOW! 70+ people at BTF!! Glitch and I had NO idea that our little weekend of riding in October would turn into what we now call Buelltoberfest. Lord only knows what we could do if we had a budget! HAHA! Glad everyone came and had fun. For those of you who had a "get-off", glad that it was minor and hope that it won't deter you from coming back next year. Not-March Badness....might have to get it on the calendar so we can start planning. Oh, Glitch....post a date and let's go! |

I am home. I had a great time but I had the advantage of spending time with Connor and Slowride on the way there and back. I could of not asked for two better travel companions. This is how it went down. Day 1. Load of the bikes and head to Texas. Day 2. Arrive at Slowrides, swap the trucks and attach the trailer and head to GA Day 3. Arrive early in the AM after Slowride drove straight through Day 4. Enjoy the hills Day 5. Leave the hills after one more ride and Slowride drives straight through to Texas Day 6. I pack up the trailer and load the parts I bought (a complete S3 in boxes) and head home Day 7. TODAY arrived home. What a whirlwind trip. The weather in GA was great and good sleeping weather at night. I am somewhat unpacked but have been on the phone with the insurance agency about Lynn's get off since I ret. Looks like we are going to get stuck with this one.. I really enjoyed meeting all the rides and was surprised to see three other S2s at the party. Robert ( Red S2) was there with his cousin and two other friends on Harleys. They did come for the event to keep Robert company. Slowride, thank you for your hospitality. I have met very few people that can multitask like you can. It seems I lost the cable to connect my camera to the computer so no pics yet. Frank |

As a Uly guy...BITE ME Great pics. My guess on the decals is...the outline on BUELL is different, and normally the S2 is behind the Thunderbolt text? Or are the colors off? I have to go look at mine to be sure... Glad you're home safe! |

Thanks Joe, I thought it was pin stripping but it is a decal and the blue is a different shade.. The decal does not show up in the catalog. Buellish assures me it is factory and when I looked at it I would say he is correct. It really looks great. His whole S2 looked great compared to mine. |

Finally got a chance to post! I made it home monday afternoon at 4:00 pm. The XR Formerly known as the blk bull, Only leaked 2 qts. of oil on the 662 mile ride home. Not bad, all things considered. A SPECIAL Thanks to all who helped put her back together. I would not have made it without the generosity of a true Gentleman, Aeholton AKA Adrian. He held up his ride to run back to TWO and got his truck to save some me costs on the towing bill Then he handed his keys to his brand new truck to me, practically a stranger, and said "Here ya go man, do what you gotta do and let me know how you make out." Character, Generosity and Trust, Qualities that make a truly great man! Kudos to you pal, my new friend, Adrian. Some of the bad luck was following me home too because when I arrived my hot water heater had busted and flooded the garage. Thats why I didn't post immediately. The oil tank, side cover, and a few other parts will be ordered soon. (when the credit card is on the next billing cycle) since the heavy use to winch the bike up and purchase parts to put the "bull" back together. I even thought of buying a used Buell or something more sport oriented but for know I'm just glad to be home. And in one piece! I got off really easy Thank God!! |
